What’s the likelihood that we see civil unrest soon?

It is utter idiocy on so many levels. So the guy bagging your groceries needs a livable wage? Unbelievable .
Living wage is another trigger phrase. No the person taking your order at McDonalds that has to have the cash register do the math for them because they can’t do simple addition and subtraction doesn’t have any useful skills to be worth an hourly rate on par with the “living wage” dog whistle. If the only skills you have determine that McDonalds cashier is your glass ceiling then YOU are the problem not a lack of society’s obligation to support you. Nobody is “owed” a damn living

Freaking stupid. The inflationary result will put these people back in their original position.

Yea, she wants the business owner to pay employees more to do unskilled work, so they can then pay their "fair share" to a fiscally reckless govt. Wtf? How does that benefit anyone?

Pandering. It's all about getting votes. That's it. It's nothing more & nothing less.

I definitely think wearing a piece of cloth over your face and refusing to take a vaccine that has saved thousands is a totally awesome hill to die on.

Nobody expects cowards like you to stand up for anything. If we don't draw a line in the sand it will never end and they will continue to take away absolutely every right that you and I have enjoyed for years.

Non-sequitur much?

What was the tax rate during America's greatest period of prosperity, family stability, and industry growth?
I'm sure that you are thinking post WWII era, even though it can probably be debated that there was significant growth in the late 19th century and early 20th century before the 16th Amendment was passed.

But the main reason for all of the economic activity post WWII is because the United States was the only major country on the planet not having to rebuild its entire country from war destruction. We were the only country that was able to produce the goods needed to rebuild Europe.

Brilliant! So let's institute a living wage so we can be sure that the lowest earners earn enough to pay their fair share into the pot.

Don’t be a low earner where you can’t make enough to survive and pay your fair share.

What entails the living part? Food, water, shelter, clothing, electricity? A new car, iPhone, cable television, Netflix?

Shelter + insurance
Mobility + insurance
Health care
Food & Water
The ability to contact emergency services

I don't know. If they do an assault weapons ban I don't see much in compliance. I agree that we've not seen much to date but I think there will be a tipping point. I think their strategy is the long game. I think they've sped it up recently though. Probably trying to see what they can get away with.
What's an assault weapon?

Nice deflection.

Not a deflection, but an observation.

There are many people in this forum who love to parrot the line about this being a Christian nation. Then you show them the multiple scriptural commandments that point to Christianity as a collectivist theology and they lose their minds.
