If you could purchase unlimited pills with a prescription, the problem would be much worse.
No one believes illegal drug use and abuse is going to be eliminated, but it's beyond foolish to not take rational and reasonable steps to minimize it.
No one believes guns are going to be completely kept out of the hands of criminals or that the illegal gun trade will be eliminated, but it's beyond foolish to not take rational and reasonable steps to minimize it.

Not all gun owners use the weapons...some are collectors....so again why limits the rights of those who possess gun legally and use then legally...if it not going to stop criminals from getting them...if someone was to buy 100 guns in 2 days..its not an issue if they are legal...and used properly..a criminal can but 1 gun a year and do more damage...

That said, until you understand the purpose for the 2nd amendment, which had nothing to do with hunting, had nothing to do with protecting your home or even self defense, it had nothing to do with collecting or having g a hobby. It was placed in there to protect the citizens from a tyrannical government such as what the democrats want.

The democrats couldn't care less about safety, or gun crime, they're interest only is in taking the power from citizens. They want to disarm citizens so they have the power to do to its citizens what Australia is doing now.

While I tend to agree that we are a ways from this actually happening here, it is concerning to see how many sheep we have here in America who are willing to do whatever the government says to do all in the name of "staying safe". If given the opportunity politicians will find a way to convince a majority of Americans that we need to turn in our guns.
