I'd hope you wouldn't say that real patriots would whoop ass because of bumper stickers, but to each their own. I'll grant you there might be people who would do so, but they aren't real patriots, they're certainly uncivilized, and I'm not afraid of them.

Look at it from their point of view and you may even disagree with yourself. As far as I know you never watched multiple friends/brothers/sons/daughters or other family members killed in places like Vietnam/Afghanistan or Iraq only to see a president come along and make them nameless and then seeing someone support that.

My tone has nothing to do with the internet. Trust me. I’m open in the way I express myself here and in the real world. I don’t appreciate anyone calling vets that served less than patriotic. Don’t like my tone? Don’t read it.

My father in law still has shrapnel in his shoulder from Vietnam and I’ll tell you just as sure as the day is long, hes capable of slapping the chit out of anyone Asian. Doesn’t meanI think it’s right but I do understand the mental side of it to. Vets are not happy. Every single one that I know feels betrayed and I don’t blame them. I also don’t blame them if they see someone in a Biden shirt and lose their chit.

Who’s trying to impress anyone? I’m certainly not. It’s how I feel and I’m not ashamed of it, Obviously. It’s not hard to recognize that some of you disagree. However, calling the vets I know less than patriotic is something I do take personal.

A moderate republican would have been great a few years ago. At this point in time things are too polarized, and the left is definitely not up for negotiation. If you pick someone who is middle of the road now, it's like negotiating a price by starting out with what you think is a fair price rather than a low ball offer that leads to something you can both live with. This is fight fire with fire time unfortunately.

Your dad was right; most of it should come down to a candidate's words and not slick TV commercials. TV is about entertainment; politics shouldn't be reality show type entertainment. Part two should be the ability to remove a president who isn't who he claimed to be during the campaign.
