What can we do to ensure Heupel doesn’t leave for Oklahoma?

Heupel isn’t going to Oklahoma. Heupel 100% loves Tennessee. Hes building something special here and Oklahoma is in rebuild mode. I don’t see him leaving Tennessee to do another rebuild. Lane got us good in 09 and we still feel the sting, but you have to consider that USC was riding high post Carroll and had a roster full of chippies.

Keep Bob Stoops involved in Oklahoma football - Heupel will never go to Oklahoma as long as Stoops has a big voice in calling the shots. So pay him well, support him and he’ll feel so at home in Knoxville that when Stoops is no longer a power broker at Oklahoma Josh will have no desire to leave.

Oklahoma just got absolutely smashed by South Carolina in Norman.

What can we do to ensure we don’t lose Heupel to his Alma mater?
I am reliably informed that there ain't no love in Oklahoma, so relax. CJH isn't going anywhere any time soon.

Fans are funny. Last week we beat Florida and people are talking about his seat being hot

When he got to Oklahoma, they were already a juggernaut.

At Tennessee, he has single-handedly rebuilt a great national brand and put his imprint on it.

It's like a new child.

Zero chance he ever leaves here voluntarily.

When Tennessee is winning, there is not a better job in FBS.

I just discovered that Josh Heupel is the second UT head coach that hails from South Dakota. Anyone know (without looking) who the first was?

Poor coaches making millions of dollars. We'll try to do better.
You can boo-do what you want it's a free country. What does that accomplish? What do fans think they are communicating? You think a coach that's played at this high of level and coached at this high of level doesn't understand when his teams are playing bad? Do fans think that's productive? Is it merely for the fans to communicate their displeasure? He brought us from the cellar-many coaches turned us down-he didn't, to sniffing the playoffs in 4 years. Go ahead and boo. I'm sure it's very helpful

Yep. I also realize there are 100k fans and not all are booing. It's a certain segment. It's a choice. You can encourage and try to build up or boo. Some choose to boo. I'm glad some chanted "Nico" when he came back in. I'm sure it gave Nico confidence. Maybe not. If they can hear the boos, they can hear the encouragement too. Fans choice
