What can we do to ensure Heupel doesn’t leave for Oklahoma?

Stop whining and bitching about the team during the 1st half of games on Volnation

No college can offer something UT does not have or could not match. The way the NFL game is changing I could see one of those teams come calling at some point, but I think that is well down the road, if ever

Underrated thought: why would he leave to start over at another school in the same conference?

OP, I don’t think you have much to worry about if anything.

He’d leave for the NFL before he’d leave for Oklahoma. Think he certainly has an affinity for Oklahoma, but Heup is a competitor. He wants to win championships. From a resources perspective, Tennessee is more equipped to do that in 2024 than Oklahoma is. Plus, he currently has 9 million reasons not to leave. Another 10 win season and he may have 10 million reasons not to leave.

4th qtr with 10:50 left, we're facing a 4th and 6 from our 40ish. Coach sends in punt team and boos are heard everywhere. The camera goes to coach and he literally says in his mic, "its 4th and 6 man!" We punt it inside the 3 and they go 3 and out and very narrowly avoid a safety on Jalen milroe. But our genius booing fans would rather risk us turning it over on downs at the 40 when they already had the lead.

In the 2nd qtr, coach called a run play on 3rd down and we didn't convert. Boos everywhere... while our field goal kicker was coming in to try a long field goal... he missed

I'm definitely ok with the right to boo as a fan and American and a paying attendee. But it's still dumb. Unless they somehow have more football knowledge than coach.

Heupel isn't ever going to Oklahoma.

How many times in college football history has an assistant coach been uncerimoniously fired and then later hired as the head coach?

Also I know OK is his alma mater but it's not his home its not where he's from it's just a place he's been at.

People need to chill and think rationally. He has everything he wants at a premier SEC school that loves him and he makes plenty of money. Why would he leave to completely rebuild a program in the same freaking conference???

I did not like or understand the boos. With 10 minutes left if you are within 1 score, you absolutely don't go for a 4th and 6th at the 40. I get folks were frustrated and wanted a score, but sometimes you need to be patient.
