WE took my dad out to eat for his birthday at this really good authentic Italian restaurant in Western NC (Near Waynesville) It's called Vale 243. Wonderful meal. This is the spaghetti and meatballs I had(on the bottom) If anyone is in the area, I highly recommend it.

Had chicken and rice soup at local Mexican restaurant for lunch. Lots of avacado, peppers, onions and tomatoes in the soup

I grew up in Canton and lived in Asheville for a short time. Most of my family still lives there. I live in Kingsport... We took a visit up there for the day. Thankfully,it is a relatively short drive over the mountain.
