What is the latest on Davante Bourque?

nevermind, please continue your ridiculous posts so normal people can continue to laugh at you

If you don't like my way of thinking, or the way I was raised, kiss off. I'm not here for your approval, and could care less what you think of me. You are dismissed.

how much less could you care?

It's not that I just don't like it but that it's woefully uninformed. If you think an 18yo getting homesick for his family/child is being a "sissy" then you just don't get it and likely never will. It's actually kinda sad

It is sad. Also seems like too many kids are complicating their lives too soon.

His family/child should be the very reasons he concentrates on college. I understand life is a shock for some kids when they are cast out of the comforts of home. When I was 17 years old I enlisted in the Army, and 3 months later found myself serving my country on the East/West German border. What is sad is, the softness in the new generation.

I don't understand the logic that someone is a sissy for going home to be with his kid. The sissy thing to do would be to hide in Knoxville and ignore it.

I guess there was no logic in your post so I shouldn't have looked for it.

And to add to this, my wife was pregnant when I left(my son, and best friend, is 28 years old on friday)and was 5 months old the first time I saw him.

So being homesick just started with this generation?

Basilio said the McCullers knocked him into next week at practice....that Bourque needed time to figure out if he was cut out for this level of football.

It's nice to know that I am in the company of one that has my way of thinking. I can't stand a back pedaling sissy. It's not just football, it is life. Cut the cord, and be a freaking man.

Man, I was kind of kidding. I'm a live and let live guy. If the kid is back home but staying contact with the coaches, he's probably dealing with some problem that is both serious and none of my business. He must want to come back, or he wouldn't be staying in contact with the coaches.

It couldn't possibly be garden variety homesickness.

Regardless, football is exciting and fun and a whole bunch of other things... but it's still just a game.

Agreed.

But I still hate a sissy :)

I wish Davante Bourque well and hope for his success in whatever he does. I don't think he's coming back. I looked at his FB info and his favorites section states LSU football. I think he's going to enroll there. In any case, I hope all works out the best for him. If he really enrolls in LSU, I hope he doesn't endure the dumb as a bag of rocks category of fans such as infest this board. Such fans still don't realize they are the best recruiting tools for opposing coaches.
