What is the latest on Davante Bourque?

I wish Davante Bourque well and hope for his success in whatever he does. I don't think he's coming back. I looked at his FB info and his favorites section states LSU football. I think he's going to enroll there. In any case, I hope all works out the best for him. If he really enrolls in LSU, I hope he doesn't endure the dumb as a bag of rocks category of fans such as infest this board. Such fans still don't realize they are the best recruiting tools for opposing coaches.

I doubt LSU would take him other than a walk-on which would mean paying his own way as his grades are not good enough for TOPS. More or less that bridge might have burnt down by DB and family. I would suggest his family and friends stay off the boards as well, nothing good can come from that... something I said a long time ago in the recruiting board.

Good luck to him as well, my suggestion, think about getting back to Knoxville.

Ellis Shoe, and a couple others on here acting like they know something have their facts mixed up....

Davante did not fly. He took a bus.
Davante doesn't have just one child. He has two one year olds with two different mothers.

I'm sorry to inform you at Volnation that Bourque is most likely not returning. I am also apologizing to you all, on behalf of my bandwagon-jumping, Bama-loving **** of a little sister. She gave Bourque the ride to the bus station and was bragging about it. I do not think my sister would make this up. She does not follow Tennessee and would not even know who Davante is.

Nice.

I don't get this guy? Had high hopes for him when he signed but was a little worried about all the dramatics. Hope he figures it out

I hope your sister doesnt make a habit of giving strangers a ride that can be dangerous. I hate he wont be a Vol but does that mean he will have to sit out a year to play at LSCHUUUUU! excuse me LSU.

Cool story bro and that sounds pretty far fetched.

He isn't going to either LSCUUUU or LSU.

Well I can guarantee I didn't make any of it up. I would have doubts about the story coming from my sister if it were Bray, Hunter, or Rogers. But, outside of those three, she doesn't know any TN players.... Its not like this story has been all over ESPN or the local news... How would she know Bourque left to even make it up? Anyway.... I'm not trying to argue about the validity of my post.

In that case..... I don't like your sister. Nope, not at all. Huh uh.

If he has that many issues, it's probably best for both sides that he stays back home. We will get a good RB this cycle, and he can be with his family. Problem solved.

I really don't think it will be that big of a deal either. We've got running backs. We have some young running backs that haven't even seen the field yet. We're still in the running for a couple of really good prospects for next year. We'll be fine. I hope he can get his head together and work out what's best for him, whether that includes UT or not.

I agree...wouldn't benifit either camp if he's just physically here! Tough row for him to hoe but I wish him luck.

Exactly. He needs to do what best for him. Unfortunately, I don't think Tennessee is what is best for him.

:lolabove:
the kid messed up in a drill. a freshman messing up in a drill. he went back and looked better the next time. WHAT YOU NEED TO TALK ABOUT IS THE PITIFUL PLAY OF SENIOR QB JORDAN JEFFERSON IN THAT CHAMPIONSHIP GAME.

LMAO:eek:lol:

This. Quality RB's are not all that tough to come by. It's building a solid line for them to run behind that's tough.

If we get the good widebutts, there'll be a good back who wants to line up behind them.

Sad to see this situation develop, but by now we all should have learned that "BabyMamaDrama"...if that's what this is...should be a big huge neon sign that says "LET THIS ONE GO".

In any event, Go Vols.

:censored: Where's the BS flag?

Nothing the obvious trolls have posted on here passes the smell test. Does it ever?

Nonetheless, the Vols are in fall camp, and DB is not there. Doesn't bode well.

We all have our opinions on how this will play out. He might be back. He might not. All we can do is watch and wait.

UT Football might be better with him, or it might be better without him. Here's hoping that he does, and UT does, what is best for him, and the program.

Go Vols.

Here, Here!

I remember when Davante committed and people were saying he was the next Jamal Lewis...lol. If his head aint in the game I could care less if he stays with the team. Sounds like a maturity issue. Goodbye.
