What Other Message Boards Are Saying: Georgia Bulldogs Edition

I found it absolutely hilarious that some UGA fans are claiming that their team has a bad taste from last years game and how they almost lost. Like as if our mouths taste like skittles.

Afraid it does. CBJ's years will count as well. Can't pick and choose which seasons you want to count. CBJ's success, or failure, remains to be seen. If he was a world-beater, I think it would have shown already.

It would have shown in one year? Alright then.....

This is CBJ's first season as a HC :eek:hmy: I didn't know that! Maybe he will be a world-beater :peace2: in all seriousness I do think he'll be a fine HC. I'm not quite sure he'll be able to live up to some Vol fan's expectations. Time will tell.:hi:

He's had one full year in conference play. Idk how it's gonna turn out, but it can't be worse than Doofus.

What is a world beater to you? Richt? No offense he is a great guy, but underachieved for sure. Moreno, stafford and green preseason rank number 1 and he shat his pants.

No problem :good!: just speaking the truth - I try to remain objective, but regardless I hope we stomp the $h!t out of you guys  Oh and no injuries! I'll root for you when you play UF though

Nice! And feeling's mutual .. along with the no injuries and go beat the snot out of overrated Driskel and the gators

So as a Vol fan, you want UGA to keep a guy who is 9-4 against us?

^^^THIS^^^ ... Have never understood a fan who wants another team to keep a coach that has more than twice as many wins against your team as losses. Yep, we'll keep Coach Richt. He has a winning record against every rival UGA has except FU and we have won 3 straight against them.

Most of my friends and relatives are from Georgia, so I've been hearing it all week. Mostly, the comparisons to mine and Coach Fulmer's physique (yeah, they just can't let it go). A couple of them have been quite surprised that a 60 year old fat guy can still WHUP DEY ASS! :)

Kinda agree with you. He's done well at his previous stops, flashed only twice last year that he can get his team to overachieve, looked awful vs teams with more talent and had one of the worst losses in program history vs Vandy. So far this year we look a well coached team that gives better effort and is substantially more athletic than I've seen in awhile.

But Ive yet to see anything from Butch at UT that screams world beater on the field. That being said, it's still early and if he finds a way to steal one at Georgia and somehow become the first UT coach to beat Florida since the freaking Taft administration then I'll change my mind.

Well, we're all disappointed when we lose. But all reasonable UGA fans knew that Pruitt cleaned house when he came in and we knew our backfield would be very thin. Losing by 3 at USC that night was disappointing, but it could have happened to any team in the US, given the circumstances (rain delay, away game, rival with nothing to lose, TD called back, fraction-of-an-inch measurement, etc). Why didn't CBJ have a winning season last year if Pruitt should have done so with our D? You can't argue both ways. We've had Jancek/Martinez and now we have Pruitt. We're okay with the way things are.

I just have to go back to this one more time. "Rival with nothing to lose"? How is that exactly? Win that game and they are right back in the east race. Get run out of their stadium and everyone is saying it's time for Spurrier to retire. Plus I doubt they were shaking in their boots because UGA beat Clemson. Something SC does every single year. Even when Clemson was more talented than this year's team.

Did you see the USuCk boards before the game? About 75% of their fans had thrown the towel in and were just hoping for a moral victory.

Oh, so you are one of those people who believe what is said by fans on message boards affects what happens on the field? I'm just saying SC had plenty to lose. Did that win not put them ahead of UGA in the east race? It would be different if they were 0-5 in conference at the time of the game.

I can anticipate next week's version of this. When you go to Gator boards, the theme will be 1) Driskel sucks; 2) Muschamp sucks; 3) If we lose to UT, Muschamp is officially toast at UF; 4) Driskel sucks.

I concur with your very valid points 1 to 4. Thanks.

I hear ya, and you make a great point (along with the post above yours) but you have to keep two things in mind: 1, That team has some self belief issues and talent issues as we saw with A&M and this past week the struggles against a BAD Vandy team and 2, Spurrier hates UGA enough to ALWAYS get his team up and ready for that game. He could be coaching Valdosta state and somehow if they had UGA on the schedule, it would be a close game every year.
Otherwise, I see what you're saying and agree. Kudos to the USuCk staff as a whole for getting their kids ready for that game.

I guess my terminology "nothing to lose" might have been misleading. What I meant was that they already had a blemish on their record, so they could have an "all-or-nothing" attitude. It's like when you stink up the first 9 holes and then say "screw it" and shoot even par on the back side. They didn't shoot even par but they did good enough to beat us by 3. Given all of the circumstances of that game, I don't think many teams beat them that night. I was there and it was nasty.

They also got a great candid shot of the President when he was in attendance for the last Gator game win tailgating on the Hill

That statement right there is total foolishness. Yes that loss hurt, but with a Freshman QB and limited receivers, what did you expect? Now that drubbing in 2012 was probably the worst loss in UT history.

TO HELL WITH GEORGIA!!!

So they brought their A game and your guys weren't up to the challenge....hmmm interesting. Good Luck on Saturday!
