What Other Message Boards Are Saying (Kentucky Edition)

I do consider this the quintessential "trap" game. I think CJH and crew have shown they can get the players focused on task at hand, so I'm not as worried about a letdown as with prior regimes (see 2016 USCe). I do think this shapes up to be a hard fought game. The UK game is typically very physical. I feel more confident in our front 7 against the run than I have in the past. I'll always be worried about having an "off" night on offense because my BVS tells me to. I am so glad this one is home under the lights. My heart is saying Vols by fiddy.....My gut and head think this is 7-11 point slugfest.

But I like our chances better if we can do a better job limiting their TOP and yards...I would like to see our D get them off the field quickly at least a couple of times. We score then have the D hold them to a 3 and out and we get the ball back and score again. Do that a few times and we will break their will.

Definitely, that is all it takes for use to beat someone's eyes shut.

If it goes wrong then we hurry up and punt, they take forever to score and then the process repeats.

However, we can score quickly, so as long as we can get a couple of stops we can get ourselves back in a game quickly.

I laugh at the comments about Tennessee not having internet

Not to mention Tennessee is a major healthcare, publishing, logistics and transportation hub.. we have a lot going for us in the state right now, and you are right, UTK is winning academic achievements and accolades by the dozen, annually.. yet Kentucky feels they are advanced somehow as a populace in both society and dental care? Oookaaay 😂

I’m with you on the “off” night. You almost feel they are due one.

But rest assured, I think the way our offense is clicking right now, we don’t need to be worried about it. As long as the guys stay humble and approach the game the right way, we will be fine. Sure, there may be a few bad plays or possessions, could be some uncharacteristic mistakes, but overall I think the mentality of this team is in the right place.

Yes, Tennessee lost in almost every category, T.O.P. 13:52 to 46:08. First downs, 17-35 and total yards 461 to 612.

Kentucky won just about every stat, except the important one, the score 45-42. Tennessee Wins!

Heck, if we win one more of those stat lines the score isn't even close.

Now this game was way too close for comfort and I would like to win some of the these stats like maybe yards but I will always take the score.

Go Vols!

Mark Stoops on his show had no clue on how to stop the Tennessee offense all he could say was the linebackers had to make a lot of plays. Tom Leach the play by play guy was saying stupid things like Tennessee has great players but Kentucky has great players also and he said Kentucky would have a chance if they played like they did in 2020 in Knoxville.

I truly hope Kensucky preps for a game like 2020. That has to be one of the stupidest things I have ever heard. But, we are talking about Kensucky so it shouldn't really surprise me. SMH This team is nothing like the 2020 team. I can't wait for the crying and excuses after we stomp a mud hole in those kittens.
