I will always wonder what Leach could have done with a program with money and resources. The fact that he went 158-107 as a head coach and his three jobs were Texas Tech, Washington State, and Mississippi State: that's absolutely phenomenal.

I don’t hate anything about them. I do hate the cowbells. Cringeworthy sitting next to someone with one.
They are ARTIFICIAL NOISEMAKERS and the SEC should ban them/

We 've gone to Hoover & the SEC Baseball Tournament in Hoover for many years. All the baseball fanbases are great (except vandie). Miss. State fans are probably the most even-tempered of all. They are loyal but rarely obnoxious. :cool:

They have always had an uphill battle. Starkville is one of worst locations in the conference. Their stadium isn't typical of the SEC. Yet year after year they show up and once in awhile they have a scrappy team that no one wants to play. Through all of this their fans are level headed. Unlike Vandy fans that even through mostly awful teams will continue to be backsides.

Hmm...let's see...why could that be? Oh maybe it's that they pass more because they are playing from behind in every game? Maybe it's that they have the 86th ranked rushing offense and run 10 less times per game than we do? Maybe it's that we have an all time great RB in Sampson that's a prolific TD scorer when close the goal line? No couldn't be any of that!

MSU's QB doesn't play in the SEC. Nor do his team otherwise play the teams we play. His OL isn't like ours, there are just so many variables that makes it ridiculous to compare the two players. I'm pretty sure some HS or FCS QB has better stats than Nico too, For obvious reasons. Just as it would be absurd to compare the record or stats of an Olympic heavyweight boxer and a professional heavyweight boxer.

Ditto. BIL is a huge State fan. From Ellisville. I've always enjoyed State games. Hate it for them. The whole Mike Leach situation has really left them hollow. My gut says Lebby will be a really good HC. If not there, then somewhere. But, he has more on his plate at MSU right now than just football. He also has to be the healer. And no telling who all bailed out into the portal that left him thin with not much time to fill the gaps. They're abviously not the scrappy team we're used to seeing.

There you go throwing out all those facts and logic. Their efficiency is almost identical, Nico's completion percentage is 65% compared to 60%. UT has 10 more rushing TDs and 100 yds more a game in rushing. Maybe having a more balanced attack might have something to do with it.

Never have I had a bad experience in Starkville. We sit by the same family every year. Hell, we exchange Christmas gifts. The family we sit beside went to school with my mil from the early 70s.Great people all around and the egg bowl. don't get me started. The egg bowl is my second favorite game every year after TSIO. I hate most of the sec. I don't hate state.

He’s referring to Mississippi State, not Sparty.
