What other message boards are saying (Oklahoma Pre Game Edition)

Mostly very realistic, but it's these that always crack me up:

"Curious why everybody thinks JH will run the score up? Hes still got love for OU and even talks to stoops from time to time. I think he will be on the short list of potential head coaches at OU in 2026."

Why on earth would CJH leave while building a potential juggernaut for Oklahoma or anywhere else? Legacy, schmegacy - he has an opportunity to carve his place in history here and become a living legend, and he's going to leave to rebuild Oklahoma?

I’m not even sure the part about stoops and Heupel talking from time to time is accurate. I don’t think he likes stoops at all after being made the scapegoat at OU. I think as long as Danny White is at Tennessee, we have no worries about losing Heupel.

Edit: tried to add this other day. Reception has been a problem.

So sorry…up $1100.00 with my VOLS and thought this was so out of character. They thrash their own then hope they have an f’ing chance. Sooners you are destined for the Ole Miss/USCe dumpster heap. Welcome. 🤗
Im just waiting for that line to come out -3.5 or close to it. I'm all over that. We win by double digits

For all the classless posts, they must have forgotten about them beating Arkansas State 73-0 last year or how about 2 years ago when Oklahoma beat Western Carolina 76-0.

I grew up when the Barry Switzer Oklahoma teams were the definition of classless burnt earth scoreboard demolitions. Oklahoma is literally the definition of "running it up" to me.

That said...not a huge fan of the onside kick...but I've also thought 'anything goes' until at least halftime. Mixed reactions here.

Couldn't agree more.

We've played nobody.

I think we're good, I think we can beat OU.

I also think, once we line up against teams with 4 and 5 star talent on their offensive and defensive lines we will look NOTHING like we've looked the first 3 games.

Stresses me the hell out hearing all these fans behaving as though we've shown enough already to believe we're the best team in the country lol.

Its like they've never watched an SEC season unfold. OU Will not be a walk in the park.
Be of good cheer. No fan in the history of sport has impacted the outcome of a game by enthusiasm or pessimism on a message board.

The difference is, we either are already developing the depth that LSU didn't have our we're recruiting it.

LSU was a one trick pony and it showed the next year.
This is the thing I find myself wondering about the Bama, Florida, Georgia, Oklahoma, Texas, and so on fans: do they realize this ISN'T a one-off thing? Are they paying attention enough to see that Tennessee is going to be competing for championships every year through the foreseeable future?

Do they get that Josh Heupel plans on camping on top of the mountain for at least the next couple of decades?

Can they sense all that?

Or do they just think we're "a problem" for them this season?

Heh.

This is something to really look forward to.

Go Vols!

What will be your attitude if Tennessee beats OU by multiple tds?

-I saw some of you calling Tennessee classless, but they remind me of Burrow’s LSU Natty team. They’re stone cold killers and they will embarrass whomever and prove that they will not be messed with. There is a swagger about that team that truly frightens me.

Best compliment I can remember an opposing fan giving us.

They’re more confident in us than I am. I’ve been hurt by the Vols way too many times in the past. I need continuity of play.
IMO, we just need to be wary of turnovers. Thus far it hasn't been much of a problem; let's hope it stays that way.

😂 nah. I think we win but this isn’t going to be a blow out. OU will be able to stay on the field a bit and burn clock imo. Beating them at all will be impressive even if they’ve looked mediocre to this point
I’ve got us by 14 and I’m sticking to that. I think that’s pretty fair.

If we win by 10 in Norman that’s a damn impressive win. OU may not be that good currently but they’re not going to roll over especially in their first SEC game. We have the talent to beat them handily but we’re going to need everyone to do their parts. I’m still not blown away by our WRs; all the talent in the world but we need consistency from all those guys. Need a guy you can call on for a third down conversion and know he’s going to get it. It hasn’t mattered to this point but in upcoming games or if we get into the playoffs we’re going to need that guy.

100% agree and I think we found the guy to do it yesterday which is Matthews. He’s been out with an injury, but every time he got the ball he did something with it. It’s a lot to put on a freshman, but that kid is good and will become a monster in a short time.
