How close do you think this game is going to be called.
I seem to think that we will live in their backfield.
You are right about Banks and play calling. I thought he backed off against Beck in that game.
We won't blitz that often. We don't need to blitz much to be effective defensively against them

"-In 1996, the University of TN wore illegal cleats in a soaking wet Peach Bowl. Karma is coming."

If your going to make a BS accusation you should at least get the bowl game right. I was at that Citrus bowl when we shut down their heisman winning RB.
I was going to say the same thing! I was at that game!

I fully expect our Defense to punch them in the face all night (Norman-Lott might literally). I also expect D Sampson to be D Sampson so we'll see what happens.

The man himself. Cool, calm, collected, and Christian. Love it.

Most buckeye fans that I know consider their team to be "the Alabama of the north..."

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahhahahahahaha

Thats hilarious. They have a loaded roster just like UGA, Bama, and UT. Thats true. What in the WORLD would make them think they are the "Alabama" of anywhere? It sure isn't Championships. Or even bowlgames...Misery DESTROYED them less than a year ago in a bowl. Maybe incest and poor personal and dental hygiene???

To see them calling Tennessee soft is hilarious. I hope they think we are soft. Considering we played 5 or 6 games on national TV this season, and won ALL of them except AT Jawja...there's no excuse for calling us soft. I watched a panel of the "Locked on" reporters without the VOLS guy...6 reporters from 6 OTHER SEC schools. Over the weekend. They unanimously picked UT as the best defense in the SEC this year. 6 out of 6. No arguing or discussion. Yet these clowns think we are "soft". Please, please let their players go into this game thinking we are soft and gonna be a pushover.

Not sure but it is going to matter a lot. If OSU gets away with UGA level holding then it could be a really long day. If it goes straight up then UT will cause them a lot of problems on the LOS.

OTOH, their D could make things tough on UT's OL also. I know this isn't really CJH's thing... but I would like to see Nico out of the pocket with a run/pass option and simple reads. He's got the arm to throw deep back side which OSU probably isn't accustomed to seeing very often in the Big 10.

A lot of it does come down to Nico. If he hits some shots over the top early then life gets better... but that's been the story of the whole season.

Good take. Me too. At the same time...dont get greedy. This season, as soon as Nico has completed 1 or 2 passes they call up a deep shot 50 yards downfield. Nico is still amped up on adrenaline and overthrew a bunch. On our 1st two drives against UGA, our 1st real drive against Vandy etc they "warmed Nico up" with a couple short to medium passes, an RPO or 2 to get him a run, etc. We scored 10 points on our first 2 drives at UGA this way, and dominated Vandy scoring at will after the Sampson fumble. We dont need to throw the 50yd bomb right away. Warm Nico up, burn off some of that adrenaline and he wont overthrow the deep ball by 5 yards.

I live in the rural Southern part of Ohio. It's the closest thing to East Tennessee with the mountains in the distance. The Northern part of Ohio near Lake Erie is as flat as a plain of glass for many miles.
I spent a month in Findlay. In fact the entire month of February. It snowed several times and was quite cold, but got used to it. Everyone gets to work fine there in the snow. About a 10-1 ratio of equipment/manpower for it

Of course Findlay is in the NW portion of Ohio and gets more real winter weather

Their fans are just confident about their team just like we are. Most of this board is thinking its going to be an easy win and will dominate them.

So going to their board they are saying the same things and you guys are getting mad? What do you expect?

Every example of why I hate OSU. A bunch of pu$$ies with a superiority complex
Not sure I have ever thought of guys like Eddie George as pussies. I've even gotten to know a few people that are huge OSU fans. Wouldn't call any of them pussies either. Social media is a catalyst. We see the worst at times and then stroke the entire group with a broad brush

Dylan Sampson will wrun roughshod over "AN" ohio state team. What a blindsided fanbase! I understand that Bill Duff will be in Columbus that day. Remember him, Eddie George? "He did NOT make it!" (John Ward)_. Bug-eyes, Suck-eyes....it matters not y'all. Tennessee Vols are COMIN'! Take cover "AN" prepare to take shelter.

Most of the comments on this board that I’ve seen have said it should be a close game and that they won’t run us out of the stadium as opposed to 80% of the OSU comments being pretty dismissive of UT. Yes they should have confidence as we should. Both teams made the playoffs and are good and neither should dismiss the other. I’d be shocked if it was a runaway either way.

Funny one of them remembered the cleats

Is that true? What are illegal cleats? I am sure they werent metal like the old baseball cleats from the Jurassic Period ...so we picked better tires than them, and thats why we stuffed Eddie George for the whole game? (Including Bill Duff at the goal line)

and their rushing offense is mid.

Wait, what???
The fact that somebody said our "rushing offense is mid" is just completely clueless and makes them all look like morans. This is why, on occasion when we have somebody who says something just 100% factually wrong about an opponent in one of our threads, it is actually an act of loyalty to UT to try and set it straight, so that we don't all look as stupid as that guy made Buckeye Nation look.

Or maybe social media shows you their true colors. You missed the main point. These old school B1G fans look down on people from the south in general and on top of that act like football revolves around their program and your team could never come close. It's outright arrogance. That's awesome you've had good interactions with them. The majority of the times I've had any interaction with an OSU fans in any format they're uppity as hell.

I lived in Perrysburg, worked in Holland for 2 years in the early 90s. It is flat.
The South East is in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. It’s rural and like home.
