What Other Message Boards Are Saying (UGA Post Playoff Rankings Edition)

The crowd noise will hurt their defense more than it hurts our offense. They will need to communicate to get lined up correctly before we snap the ball. If the crowd is screaming while we’re on offense, that could be problematic for them.
lmao are yall bots? Posting the same thing at the same time

Why would it hurt the defense more? Defense doesn't have a snap count and can't get a false start.
Really? The D is having to adjust coverages and alignments, on the fly. What do you think the fast pace and constant motion is all about?

I just realized something astounding: we and Georgia, two-thirds of the way through the regular season, with FIVE common opponents, have only played ONE common team thus far. The Gators.

Just further reinforcement of something we already know: Georgia has an easy as hell schedule this year. Oregon and Florida are the only two teams they've played so far with a pulse. The rest of their September and October schedule looks pretty much just like our November schedule. You know, the dregs of the East.

It's incredible how little they've been challenged to date. They have a dang Clemson schedule.

We're about to rattle their world.

Go Vols!

who discussed it, Tennessee fans?
I know you're in the heat of battle right now... but I saw one of the youtube shows saying that. It was someone credible like 247's or On3's guys. I believe the specific point was that noise hurt the D when running against tempo like UT runs at times. That would make sense wouldn't it? In tempo, UT uses almost exclusively hand signals from the sideline to communicate plays.

Sure I understand that. But you don't think crowd noise can effect snap count and false starts? The comments said that it would hurt Georgia far more than Tennessee. At best it's a wash. Our defense uses hand signals too

And yet Tennessee offense will be unfazed because they can communicate telepathically.
Lots of non-verbal signals even at home. They signal in the play as the team is running to the next ball spot.

Also not quite telepathy but UT requires their WRs to do a LOT of coverage reads and option routes. That's one of the reasons they don't sub a lot at WR. Having the QB and WRs on the same page is critical to this O.

So not telepathy... but they seldom actually "know what the play is" when they line up. But from that point forward they have to be reading the coverage the exact same way.

Who is UGA's best pass rusher now that Smith is out?

I'm not talking about getting the play in, I'm talking about snapping the ball and not getting false starts

The only thing I worry about this game is the "Big Lay Down" (Fake Injuries)
Desperate People do Desperate Things.

I know you haven't been to Sanford when they played a top 10 team, where the crowd really cares, because you guys haven't been ranked that high in a really long time. Tiger Stadium? The game that started at 11 AM? LSU for that game isn't going to be as loud as it will be for this game.

5 ranked team lol. Come on, nobody but Tennessee fans count Pitt, Kentucky, and Florida as ranked teams.. Ya'll are a good team, no need to embellish your accomplishments
What’s your prediction?

Future top 5 pick Jalen Carter

6 tackles this season 4 solo tackles no hurries and no sacks. That is impressive.
Last year he was better with a supporting cast.
A Junior with 3 total Sacks in Career. 0 this year.
Top 5 pick I don't think so.
Where is your brain at, use it? Is that you Jalen?
