I mean I would agree but Fant isn’t used to normally throwing the ball in a big time situation. Hyatt bobbled that ball several times before hauling it in. Likely was put on film more to slow pursuit on the edge.I did not either at first, but after thinking about it how can we not trust Heupel to know what is best.
And, he may be setting something else up from that play.
Not gonna lie, didn't like us using it on UT Martin.
I agree…this truly wasn’t personal…it really is business. I don’t think Ty, or Jason or any other petty thing was the issue. Just running our offense. JMO. On another issue…I love the way Josh holds our 2nd, 3rd and etc teams accountable and expects them to perform as well. We practice during the week FOR YOU TO EXEXCUTE!There is no conspiracy. It was an opportunity to put something on film to keep defenses honest. We are using Fant a lot more in the run game and we want to force safeties to stay with their pass assignments longer than they might otherwise. Its a smart play. Also, its better to have Fant throw it in a meaningless situation rather than when we need him to execute. Now the coaches know he can air it out if needed. And so do defenses.
