What's everyone's obsession with Josh Dobbs?

Have the lack of eyebrows been discussed? It's hard to not notice.
They have been. I surmised that he shaved them to better see the field, and to run faster, but I could be wrong.

For the record, I have almost no visible eyebrows. Never have. They are blond and thin. I am thinking of starting an Eyebrow Club for Men. Dobbs could be my first client. That is, if I could figure out how to get mine to fill in first.

Blacke qbacks arenot to good with reading defences, In my opin, But there pretty good at running to buy time from sacks. Also they sometimes arenot accurate as Most white qbacks.

1. I look at your post as just being poor attempt to stir up more than your being a bigot.

2. QBs whatever skin color are a product of their coaching. If they were coached well, they will often play well. Even Matt Simms for all his shortcomings was a fair game manager and when he had time to throw, showed a nice touch.

So in a nutshell, a QB's athletic assets plus his coaching dictates his quality, color notwithstanding.
But you knew that, right?

What are you saying what to? Someone said he had the same skin color as Vick. He doesn't and all Black people don't look , act or play the same.

I had a dude come up to me the other day and say "hey bro thanks for helping me back in my U-Haul. If it wasn't for you I would have hit that car" I looked at him and said no problem. My wife asked when this was and I replied it didn't we all look alike. Some white people can't tell us apart. Its the truth but its nothing to get p#ssed over. I didn't tell the Guy it wasn't me because I wanted him to feel ok with himself. No biggie.

I bet my black azz could hit you in the head with a football fourty yards out. Seriously lets see.

Your post doesn't invalidate his comment about all African-Americans not looking or playing the same. To some groups, who are largely isolated by choice or otherwise from others, appearance can be generic. Same thing when it comes to Asians. While I would be sorely tasked to tell the difference between one Japanese or Chinese from another, or even one Asian ethnic group from another, I can swiftly recognize my Asian friends. Because I'm around them often and long enough. And I can tell you not all are superb cooks, equally skilled at ritual dances, or rice lovers. So your post while nice and well meant doesn't invalidate comments made by the other poster that African-Americans don't all look or play alike.

That could make plays with his feet. Remember the first game of the '98 Season against Syracuse?? If Tee Martin wasn't a QB that could scramble when flushed out of the pocket, the Vols lose that game. Give me a mobile QB over a 5.2 40 yd. dash QB anyday

So you are saying you would take Mike Vic over Peyton Manning?

I think the actual question was, "If you have pocket presents, what would be in the box?" And Josh's answer was, "I'd pass on that, coach but instead I'll take the question and run with it."

I agree. I think Dobbs' eyebrows are blond and thin.

Plus his mental aptitude, actually-- which is where the bigotry enters the conversation. Alas though, we are in agreement that none of the three prerequisites are a racial factor.

This is sig-worthy. Hell, Hall of Fame worthy.

I think you're over analyzing my statement. I've been on this planet a long time I can say from personal experience (my own) that some do think we all look alike. Does it bother me? No I have other things to worry about. I just had lighthearted story that fit the topic in a warped way. That whole serious racial analysis thing, I've got too much on my plate for that.

Chances are pretty good I've been on Gaea longer than you have.

We're all guilty sooner or later of selective listening/reading. I said the "they all look alike" is due to a isolation from a group. To point this out, I stated how I'm able to recognize my Asian friends even though I'd be hard pressed to tell one Japanese from another or even a Chinese from a Japanese.

Now, as you said (watch closely) "SOME do think we all look alike." I capitalized and bold the operative word, "some." In a nutshell, your post is actually advocating what I said in my post. When you are isolated from a group for whatever reason, your personal perception plus lack of direct informal interaction results in your having a generic view of that group. Then of course there's one's social attitude towards a group. IF you have a "you seen one, you've seen them all" attitude, you can't see the difference because you don't want to.

To point out again how familiarity dictates your ability to perceive differences, take movie stars. Very few Americans would confuse Jackie Chan with Jet Li, though both are Chinese. But we'd have trouble differentiating among many of the Chinese individuals on the street. I repeat, we're saying the same thing despite my analyzing the phenomenon which seems to displease you. However, when we refuse to understand something, and hence focus on a solution, that's when blind prejudice and/or a perception of yourself as a victim emerges in full bloom.
