Freshman year got a hit off of Richie Conway (think that's his name) after he basically had a no hitter going. Blew 2 fastballs past me and thank God he hung a curve on the next pitch.
Sophomore year against Morristown East tied the game in the 6th inning off of Marc Cox (think that's his name lol) and then hit the winning run in the 7th. Also, hit over .500. All conference.
Junior year hit .480 all conference. No big moments stand out, but our team had our best season in years.
Senior year I pitched a one hitter and missed hitting for the cycle by not getting a double against Davy Crockett. Played outta my mind that game. Everything just worked right that night. I also remember Brian justice and his brother going yard back to back on me. That really sucked, but those guy's could friggin hit. I never had much luck against Greenville.
My last 2 years of softball 2004-2005. Our team won both summer and fall leagues. 4 seasons with only 2 losses. We won earlier leagues, but those 2 years we had a special team.
There was that time in HS where I threw a football over a mountain. How could I forget that.
Freshman year baseball I hit a grand slam against Farragut. (We still lost)
Senior year football: we had a new coach and one spring practice during a kickoff play, I ran downfield full-steam, eluding a couple blockers and decleated the kick-returner a split second after he caught the ball. At the end of practice, the coach brought out a blue and gold shovel he called the Grave Digger and put my number and initials on it with a paint pen. I kept it for 2 weeks before it was passed to the next guy, who ironically was the guy I hit
Could I count being friends with former Rockies,Astros and Tigers reliever Todd Jones in High School? He was drafted by the Mets in 1986 but went to college instead.
I played basketball for my middle school. In 8th grade, I had a double double of 12 points and 12 rebounds against Briarcrest. I hit the game sealing baseline jumper with 20 seconds left to put my team up 4.
That was my favorite moment. Another moment was hitting two free throws with 5 seconds left to put a game into OT.
1st inning, 1st pitch homerun against Webb HS as a freshman. Also had an rbi triple later in the game which I think we one 2-1. Also fortunate enough to have a hole-in-one and a double eagle even though I've never played more than a few rounds of golf/year... and as such have a very up and down game.
My favorite sports memory is in my very first basketball game (age 7) I hit a game-winning FT with no time left in triple OT. My coach hoisted me up and carried me off the court. We won 9-8, LMFAO.
Went to 2 straight state finals in soccer for high school, and won one title. Now I'm happy being able to play basketball 3 or 4 times a week with good friends.
Got a scholarship to Claflin University on a baseball scholarship. Half baseball scholarship half minority scholarship. I was 1 of 2 white people at the school. My buddy and I broke the color barrier at Claflin.
I knew this guy in high school that would keep track of his stats during the game. Would yell it out constantly. Most annoying dude ever. I try sometimes but always forget.
I had a time expiring game winning three. I wasn't even supposed to be the guy taking the shot, but the play broke down. Game had absolutely no significance, but it was pretty sweet anyway.
