I have a degree in Education but have never used it. I have been a manufacturers rep in the sporting goods industry for almost 30 years now. It has been and still is a blast. Currently the National Sales Director for an athletic flooring company.
Have been lucky enough to work with almost every pro team and college in the southeast.
The first thing people ask me is, "how can I get into that"? I was extremely blessed with an opportunity as soon as I finished playing baseball. So the answer is...."its not who you are, but who you know".
I was also an official for 10 years. Umpired D1 baseball for the last three. Then along came kids and the travel was not worth it.

I think I could teach, given the right environment. My only worry is salary...but, for the amount of time they work they make great money.
Lol- young padawan have much to learn. Teach you, I will.. You wont get rich, but you will make a living. You will find the 'other duties assigned' clause is the kicker. Good gig overall though. MAKE SURE YOU LIKE HELPING YOUNG PEOPLE. Kids have a 6th sense about this stuff.
