Geez I hate it when newbies sign up and think they run the board. You've been here a month with 27 posts. Don't try to go all mod on a guy who's been here nearing 4 years with almost 3,000 posts and 3 stars under his name.

I can see both sides of it. On the one hand, Ole Miss signing 38 guys knowing a bunch wouldn't qualify could possibly make them miss out on better guys if they just stuck with people that could qualify or were close. Maybe UT gets those guys. On the other hand, what if more than the 25 allowed actually qualify? Are you gonna grayshirt 13 guys and screw your next recruiting class, not to mention screwing over the recruits themselves?

All in all, I like the 28 because we have a staff that knows how to evaluate talent and get 28 guys that can play rather than just go for a crapshoot and hope someone sticks.

Dude's entitled to his opinion but I'll never understand why some (especially newbies) consider it their duty to police this board...we have Mods, Admins and Gurus for that

Those are 12 spots total.

I would say the last 10 schollies are filled by players at any of those spots.

I know we have 7 spots, who do you guys think we need?

The only thing I think we are in need of is maybe 3 or 4 OL commits out of the 7 spots, especially after what I saw Saturday from our line.

I also think Jeff Luc would be the biggest commit in this class if he chooses to come (maybe the success we're having now recruiting will help that cause).

What do you guys think?

agree about jeff luc. Reveiz does a serviceable job but Luc would be a huge get and a considerable upgrade. I also think Joyner would be huge as well.

I agree and wouldnt mind another QB! I know we have Bray but with last season and this season we definately need depth at the QB position! GO VOLS!!!

3 to 4 OL commits are a must. Outside of that I think the staff can be flexible position wise since the other dire needs have been met. They'll probably just be looking for the top talent.

They may start to get creative with the offensive line. With all the defensive lineman they're recruiting some of our current DL may switch sides. I don't have anyone particular picked out (I'd assume no one in the 2-deep) but this might add some athleticism to the OL.

I say Gio Bernard (sp), Cody Riggs, & Dietrich Riley will commit along with 3-4 OL. Could end up with Luc.

I could see Broussard or Copeland heading elsewhere but I don't think Meline is going to play WR anyways...maybe safety or cb??? LV your thoughts?
