Hey @USMC-TNVOL we never finished our discussion. Could you explain how a $2T fee reduction to medical providers justifies a 77% increase in federal tax receipts? TIA!
I gave you the calculation based on 2019 receipts and 2019 Medicare costs and the program cost estimates. I literally outlined the math in the quote that I tagged you with.Where are you getting a 77% increase from?
Glad you’re so concerned about government spending now though. We somehow don’t have the money to do this but how much was blown on the war in Iraq? Close to $2 trillion? Military spending per year is nearing $1 trillion.
Almost 18% of our GDP is in healthcare spending, twice as much as most others. A third of that is spent on admin costs. Yet, somehow national insurance is the issue and would be too costly.

The rest of your deflection is irrelevant unless you’re saying cut all other spending. Is that what you’re advocating don’t spend the $3.5T we currently spend?
Let's reduce our expenditures to 9% of GDP and ask the european union to pay the difference? How about we ask the europeans to make up half of what we pay for drugs?Where are you getting a 77% increase from?

No I’m not an expert but I can do basic algebra. Ok I’ve got your answer you’re completely ignorant on fiscal issues. Thanks for playing.Oh so now you’re an expert on calculations for potential government programs and I’m supposed to trust those.
It’s not deflection because the Republican base never bitches about the cost of wars but chooses to when it’s programs that would help people.
Chezzits fookin rice! How stupid are you when current GDP is close to 18%? If Medicare for all is 10-15%, that reduces our total GDP spending by 3% at a minimum which would boost our economy spending in other areas.
Wrong. Total federal tax receipts were $3.5T in 2019 and Medicare expenditures were the $640B number I listed. The $3.5T includes income taxes and federal payroll taxes for Medicare, Social Security, etc... individuals bear about 85% of the brunt of that $3.5T revenue. And $3.5T revenue is a little over 15% of our GDP which is around $20T.Your basic Algebra doesn’t add up if your math is 3.3 trillion for Medicare for all. $3.6 trillion was the cost of our current system in 2018.
Chezzits fookin rice!
You continually ignore the incoming funds required to pay for this fiasco and keep focusing on spending spending spending! Typical idiot fiscally irresponsible liberal.
If Bernie were to save that vaulted $2T you claim it can there are still three non partisan estimates that agree to within $500B on what it would cost to fund this fiasco. That cost is equally to nearly all current federal tax receipts. We are not going to pass legislation which would nearly double federal tax receipts and it’s asinine to even propose such stupidity. I’m not interested in any more “but if we save this much” dumbassery we cannot afford this ridiculous proposal!
I’ve clearly outlined the projected costs and it clearly says you’re full of ****.You said it will cost 3-8% less of our GDP then say we can’t fund it. Some great mental gymnastics there to come up with that. Obviously taxes will increase but people won’t have copays or deductibles if it’s the full plan. But hey keep using your made up math to fit your narrative.

We cannot afford it. It’s DOA

Once again you’re stupidly just looking at spending and ignoring costs. You are not going to add $3.6T to federal tax receipts in this country thereby DOUBLING the current level of taxation. It will never pass.$3.6 trillion was healthcare spending in 2018, so again, if the program would cost $3.3 trillion, what is the issue if it provides full coverage including vision/dental.
