Obviously you never got out of your recliner enough to learn about the joy and fulfilment of team sports. Best of luck to you Ms Middletonhave found her role fulfilling? She had a limited role on a team that underachieved greatly and lost 13 games, playing for a coach who, on her best days, is mediocre, and she doesn't have too many best days. What is fulfilling about that?
I am bit surprised that Alexa would transfer at this point in her college career. She has had a steady improvement curve over her first three years and always gave a 100%...
Agree with part shown above. The rest presumes AM left because she feared competition or lack of playing time. This is directly against what she said. Did she lie? Not. Besides, she was such an ALL IN team player that she would have sat the bench if that was what was needed.
My gut says she would've had more time at the 2 guard this season where she'd have thrived. AM left because of something chemistry-wise that hasn't been made public yet. JMO.
"I had some incredible experiences here, competing on a big stage, playing in some highly competitive games and even traveling to Italy. This was a personal decision, and I just felt I needed to go somewhere to reach the goals I have set."
What would these goals have been and what she need to accomplish them? I think it is a fair assumption that being a starter and getting major minutes in her last collegiate season would be a key consideration. Going on her quote, I would say that is a much smaller presumption than your conjecture about "chemistry problems.." To your question, she did not mention chemistry, are you implying she lied?
News Sentinel interview -
Middleton wanted to make it clear that the possibility of reduced playing time did not affect her decision.
That recruiting class had nothing to do with why I left, Middleton said. I feel confident in my abilities. People are going to think that they know everything. People always have their opinions. That had nothing to do with my decision.
. . . I am bit surprised that Alexa would transfer at this point in her college career. She has had a steady improvement curve over her first three years and always gave a 100% effort when she was on the court. So, I was a fan (though cognizant of her limitations).
But, if a player wants to transfer, it is best that she does transfer particularly when it is a mindset issue.
Wants to transfer. ?
Now, it may be true that Alexa would not be able to keep them off the court but, if a player does not believe she can compete, then it becomes a certainty that she won’t compete. Instead, it seems like her attitude was more of, "well, I am not going to be able to match up against these new recruits, so I will go where I can play more.” Truthfully, it probably is the realistic assessment but Alexa has enough skill and talent that it is not a certainty that she could not have won a spot. But believing that you can’t, probably tells us something about the mindset of some players that led to such erratic performances.

Agreed but if you read between the lines it says something really good about Tia's recovery and the recruits talent from someone who really knows first hand!
Are you saying that Middleton knows first-hand how talented the freshmen are? I very much doubt that she does--how could she. We've lost the best three-point shooter on the team, and I guarantee you this will be a problem for us. One of our team weaknesses--of course Warlick is oblivious to it--is that we do not make enough three-point shots. So instead of getting better at taking/making threes, we will regress. Neither Cooper nor any of the freshmen are going to shoot 40 percent from the three-point line.
