Can't say it is a moot point when so many "weird" items have already been posted about it, such as the layering. The question is, if it is a fake, why make it so easy to figure out?

i'm really failing to see how playing with the pdf all of sudden makes it "weird." does anyone really believe if obama and co were going to fake the thing that they wouldn't print AND then scan it. hell i could figure that out.

This man's entire presidency has been a big circus of
political freakishness, his birth certificate was just the
opening act...



The insistance to add a trillion dollar entitlement to
our fiscal house of cards when people wanted a focus
on the economy.

The vacations and golfing during times of crisis.

The constant humiliation of Israel, our ONLY real
friend in the middle east.

The hypocritical lectures on shared sacrifice while
his wife vacations on our dime.

The insistance on a civilian trial of Khalid Sheikh
Mohammed in New York City.

His support for a mosque called Cordoba House
(until people caught on and they had to change
the name to Park 51), a word symbolic of Muslim
conquest, blocks away from Ground Zero.

After two years of seeing this guy be aloof to the
things Americans actually care about, the royal "we"
(conservatives knew all along) have started to
wonder whose side this real American idiot is really
on.

Yes or no...I don't see it as a smoking gun. Things happen in hospitals on different levels, departments and on the administrational level. It's not like the delivery doctor is going to stop and sign certificates at the time of birth.

I think the whole of it is driven and encouraged by the right. In evidence today's quotes from around the country from Republicans. "This is proof for me and I consider the subject closed". All of whom continued (when pressed) that they would not tell their constituents what to think or do. Which technically is correct and proper. But the underlining message was clear.

It would not matter what he released people would still try to come up with reasons to argue it and say that it was fake.

I think he did it now, so that the actual Republican candidate cannot go against Trump and look mainstream.

That was go for him because they were looked at like the nut job fringe. Kinda like the groups that felt Bush was behind 9/11.

The more you are attacked by the nut jobs from the fringe, the more the mainstream will support you because they do not want to be seen as belonging to the fringe groups.

I think they were afraid that a Republican candidate would run as the anti-Trump and look more centrist. If Obama released his BC then, it would help the main Republican candidate. By doing it now, it becomes a non-issue in the race and a Republican cannot use it to be seen as mainstream.

and you think an anti trump republican would win the republican nomination? i don't think trump had any prayer either. best thing by far would be to wait till the republicans elect their guy and then release it.

Yea there is noway Trump wins the Republican nod, he is out there to make the other candidates look better. Doing it during the election would not change anything. I do not think that there are than many voters who would have voted for Obama but not sure if he was born in America. Most (if not all) who believed he was born in Africa would not vote for him anyway.

You really think Trump doesn't have a Plan B to keep his name in the headlines if Obama produced a birth certificate?

IMO - I think Trump's involvement forced Obama's hand. Whether you think he's an idiot or not (I tend to go back and forth), he would get enough face time to make this more than a minor annoyance for Obama.

He didn't "force Obama's hand." It finally caused the folks in the WH to throw up their hands and say "this is getting re****ingdiculous." I don't know if I'd call that forcing one's hand...

Watching Trump get out of a helicopter with his name in big block letters on the side (apparently he loses it from time to time?) then fellate himself gave me dumb chills. Not to mention the 'artful dodging' of media questions which followed. This has been one of the stranger episodes of American politics as of late. The birthers achieved Oliver Stone and Noam Chomsky status all at once until the long form certificate came out.
