Which Freshman QB is better?

Thats what I think as well, I don't think Butch Jones has the cajones to make the change.

Unless we are getting hammered by Florida, there won't be a change.

I genuinely hate to utilize sarcasm against fellow Vol fans, in part because its use has been so incessant over the last 48 hours, but it sometimes helps to actually READ previous comments in the thread, such as those cited in post no. 19.

In any event, here's Butch's opinion: "Whatever quarterback has the best week of practice is going to be the starter for Tennessee when we play Florida. If that means a freshman quarterback, that means a freshman quarterback. We’ll have more quarterback run in to our package this week. We just need to find ways to generate big explosive plays and if that’s Josh Dobbs running the read option or Riley Ferguson, that’s what we’ll do to create big plays. That’s going to be our focus and preparation this week” (Florida Week Depth Chart: Door Open for Freshmen QBs | VolNation Blog).

Based on those statements, it sounds like the quarterback competition is officially wide open again. Unequivocal reference to integrating the quarterback as more of a running threat, hopefully, will appease the masses.

It'll be about 16 years before Marshall Manning is ready to commit to play for the University of Tennessee. That has a nice ring to it...Marshall Manning- Quarterback at the University of Tennessee. His twin sister, Mosely by the way can be a Lady Vol basketball player. That would for sure get plenty of ESPN coverage:yes:

Seriously though im going with Fergy he has the best arm and skill set and once he learns how to beca qb in this league and not just go wirh his ability then he will be a beast

He simply hasn't been able to convince his primary targets in this year's quarterback class to come to UT. The big, rocket-armed kid from Oklahoma, whom we truly coveted, unfortunately decided to join little Nick at Alabama. Butch has so many holes to fill with the '14 class and he has done an exceptional job thus far with, presumably, more offensive and defensive linemen yet to declare their allegiance to UT.

No one knows for sure. It's your opinion until we see them on the field. Even if one starts over the other it still wouldn't exactly mean they're better than the other. You would have to see both of them while the lights are on to truly know. One will get the start and I don't see CBJ taking him out of the lineup unless they're god awful. Whoever gets it will most likely be our ride and die QB the rest of the season.

I'm excited and totally prepared for mistakes. It's just time to learn, move on and start fresh.

Let's go!

Who knows which freshman is the best QB? I still hope Butch hasn't given up on recruiting another QB, we may indeed need one.

Wes Rucker, who said Tyler Bray would be round 1 pick, says Worley is better than all 3 qb's. Wes Rucker knows football, because Wes Rucker is a sports writer.

I think the best way he could ruin one of these young QB's psyche is to start him at the swamp. Its crazy if you ask me, that is unless he plans on running the ball 60+ times.

Before I get jumped on, I know Worley may not be the answer, but you just gotta dance with the one that brung ya sometimes. He just may be the better of two evils.

The Swamp is just not the place.
