I'm amazed at the dichotomy of people that ask me why I carry a knife around all the time (like it's a scimitar or something) and how often not only do I find use for a knife but have to help others cut/pry/open something.

So, anybody else EDC a blade of some sort?

I carry a machete in a holster to work. My coworkers think I'm weird.

Been looking at a Manix2 of late which is fairly similar though a bit larger. Been wanting to diversify from my Spydie Endura4 and Kershaw Leek.

OTOH I've been considering a Benchmade Griptilian too. (knowing me I'll end up with both)

Swiss Army or Spyderco. Even carried it when teaching middle school, gasp!

Around the house, several different knives - I just grab the one that I find first. My fav is the case canoe bone handle. On the trail or in the woods it is a hen and rooster fixed blade.

I have that one, except with a serrated blade...
had that knife along time, biught it in '94 when I was stationed at Ft Bragg

I always have a knife on me. Brother in law gives knives every year for the guys in the family for Christmas. My favorite is the Benchmade 9101SBK I got issued in the AF a few years back. Sweet switch blade.

I didn't realize the thing cost 255 bucks.

Been carrying a Kershaw Ken Onion Rainbow Chive for the past 4 months, has held its edge surprisingly well. I prefer German knives to collect, Hen & Rooster, German Eye, Boker, old JA Henckels. Handles in pearl or stag and whittlers and canoe are my favorite styles

I carry a lock blade all the time. Wife bought me one with a Tennesse logo on it.

My EDC is an old, cheap Gerber Evo. I abuse that thing. Looking to get a Spyderco Endura 4 soon.
