I kind of want to see what the general mood is about this. Personally, after the performance by Bama tonight, I think any talk of a split NCG should be dismissed.

Bama

But I'm hoping the AP poll will be dicks since their poll doesn't count that much anymore and name someone else

I really felt that LSU had already earned at least a share of the NC, but Bama's dominance tonight is impossible to overlook. LSU didn't look like they even belonged on the field with Alabama for most of the game. Alabama proved tonight what many people who watched the first game probably already knew, that they were the best team in the nation and would have won the first meeting easily as well if not for their lousy kicker.

first game was won by missed fg's and a questionable call on the goal line. this one was a complete domination. alabama should be the champs, no questions

Bama won the championship game in the current system; therefore, they are the champions. No votes needed. Otherwise why have the game?

Score board. They played twice and split and thats the end of it. Wouldn't matter if bama won 100-0, they still lost at home to lsu.

13-1 LSU or 12-1 Alabama. Only losses are to each other.

I know Alabama will be declared champ since they won the second game, but it's a lame championship.

and lsu was SHUT OUT "at home" by bama, total scores added up are 27-9 bama

So, there you have it. They were clearly the two best teams heading into the national championship game, they played twice and won one a piece.

They are both national champions.

LSU had 5 weeks to prepare for this game and didn't even get close enough to attempt a fg, only crossed the 50 once, the only thing LSU can say is "we layed down to blow up the BCS" or some kind of bs like that. anyone who saw the 2 games knows bama was a better team

I agree. I know there is no split NC, but this year the national championship is pathetic. If there is ever a reason for there to be one, this year is the perfect reason.

That's why I hate rematches.

I don't think bama should have even been in the game, they had their chance and lost, fair is fair. but tonight's domination says that bama is #1, they are and should be the champs, its a terrible system.

What does that prove? You can't just isolate variables like who beat who by how much, the absolute, inarguable bottom line is that they played twice and won one game each.

When this season is talked about five years from now, Alabama should not and will not be remembered by anybody outside of bammer as the outright champs this season.

Yes or no: Did Alabama lose to LSU this season?

Outside of Alabama fans, this is true. An undeserved national championship.

yes. yes or no: did LSU win the BCSMNCG?

Went ahead and fixed that for you, a big M for mythical.

And no.

But please, try and convince me why some exhibition game played months after the end of the season with some hooplah around it ought to carry more weight than one played in the middle of the season.

No, Alabama is not the better team. They are .500 against LSU this season.
