But please, try and convince me why some exhibition game played months after the end of the season with some hooplah around it ought to carry more weight than one played in the middle of the season.
the BCS and AP both say it does. the AP, who has nothing to do with the BCS, has even named bama #1. if there were post season playoffs and bama would have beat lsu would you then say that the playoffs didnt matter? like i said in another post, i was against bama being in the game even though i thought they were the second best team in the country, but if this was a playoff game and this same outcome tonight had happened, there wouldnt be anything else to say for it. are the broncos better than the steelers? no but they won yesterday and alabama won the BCSNG making them the champs
So because the title of the game, it was physically different?
Hmm, sorry don't buy it. Bama is still .500 against LSU this season.
How many teams are in the playoffs? Are they picked based on polls or conference titles? Or maybe a mixture of both? How deep in the playoffs would this be? Would Alabama then go on and play Oklahoma State after they hypothetically beat LSU?
... See how ridiculous it gets? There is an entirely different dynamic with a playoff scenario.
Score board. They played twice and split and thats the end of it. Wouldn't matter if bama won 100-0, they still lost at home to lsu.
Well, I choose not to buy into it because it's a total crock and we all know it. Why I post BCSMNCG -- emphasis on mythical.
Somebody is butthurt.
Do you feel the 98 game was mythical?
Obviously tomorrow and forever Alabama will be the AP and BCS National Champions.
Unanimous National Champions will be the descriptive.
