Score board. They played twice and split and thats the end of it. Wouldn't matter if bama won 100-0, they still lost at home to lsu.

I agree. Hell maybe they should play a "best of three".
I more potent offense would have made for a much better game. I hated this game.

Why in the heck didn't LSU give Lee a shot at QB? Switching QB's worked against us in '01.

I don't think bama should have even been in the game, they had their chance and lost, fair is fair. but tonight's domination says that bama is #1, they are and should be the champs, its a terrible system.

The bold in your comment is why this will never be resolved in many peoples minds (me being one).

1) that's because we hurt their starting QB in-game, he couldn't continue playing

Not really. Even the AP likely would have likely given it to bama...and the coaches and Harris both follow whatever the bcs championship game result is

There might be some more fans clamoring about it...but ESPN wouldn't be on their side / bringing any support here like they were over USC that year


Lsu would have gotten some more first place votes in the end but - unless it was a really controversial ending (like field goal that's good by lsu being called no good...ok but of an extreme example but people get the point) - youd still see Alabama at the top of just about everything

Just to clear up on the NFL analogy and why it doesn't work, the biggest difference is that at no point in the NFL season do polls come into the equation. Playoff seeding is based solely on on-the-field results.

I personally have felt the human polls (and how they're run...namely a very short term memory among other things) are one of the biggest issues with college football


They're also though the one (maybe only) thing fans seem like they don't want to change or get rid of...at all

Regular season is just that... regular season. LSU knew the implications of playing them again and they couldn't do it twice. They were lucky to do it once. They lost in the championship game and that's really all that needs to be said imo. We'll have to agree to disagree because LSU won the regular season game and Bama won the championship game. Remember the time LSU lost to Arkansas and Kentucky? Let's give them a piece of the championship too seeing as LSU got the benefit of playing in the SEC, same as Alabama. LSU got crushed in the championship.
