I think Leipold would be their first choice. I think Kiffin parlays it into a raise though.
He is a builder…and recruits to the level of his program. Lil long in the tooth, but so was Barnes before he resurrected our basketball program. Do it right do it longer…cue Glitch.

My 2 bits:

Kiffin isn't leaving. There are too many reasons for him to stay right not that have already been discussed in the thread.

Drink isn't leaving. He's making 9 mil at Mizzou where he has none of the pressure or expectations of Florida. His NIL seems to be good and he has a top 10 team with good recruits coming in. The state Florida is in might not be a move up for him at this time.

Fisch isn't leaving. It's his first year at Washington. Only a sleaze ball would leave a team after 1 year to take his dream job. And if he does that, I hope it goes horribly wrong for him and he gets fired and then has to spend several years as an OC to attempt to rebuild his career.

This leaves Golesh and Liepold. UF has said they want an established P5 coach, so that would rule out Golesh, although I think he is the best candidate of the 5.

This would leave Liepold. I'm not convinced he's the guy. He's certainly turned Kansas around. If you can rebuild that program, it's a pretty good indication of the type of coach you are. That still doesn't mean he takes the job.

I don't hear any talk about Bobby Petrino. I know that everyone thinks he is next in line for the Arkansas gig (again), but what if Florida offered him?
I don't want Lance Leipold in the SEC. He would be really successful at UF.

Feldman may or may not what he is talking about, but think about this for a minute:
"[Feldman] insists that 'people inside the business' see Florida as a less attractive job compared to Mizzou or Ole Miss."
Does this mean that people at UF have reached out to Kiffin and Drink and they are not interested?

That is ridiculous. Florida is a much better job than either, even with the university turmoil. I think Missouri is a fraud.

But currently they are not better. The administration is a mess and they don’t care about winning at all. They’ll stroll out another “up and comer” who seems flashy on the surface and will sell the fan base. Ultimately though they will fall short of the expectations and be fired.

They seem committed to that path and I'm fine with it. With an interim President who won't fire the AD, they will probably hire another iffy coach.

I'm unsure if they've fixed the NIL issues they had but some big donors will sour on dumping money to a bottom feeder in the SEC.

You hate to see it.......
I love to see it

I do think Missouri will fizzle out and go back to the Mizzou we know.

It seems like Lane Kiffin is the only name being thrown around but there isn't anything out there showing any interest from him. Is that all UF has right now as an option?

I think they swing for Kiffin and get Golesh. Golesh at UF could get dangerous.

Has Golesh done enough at USF to even get a check-in? UF-Tennessee would be interesting in that situation as well. I think Heupel would have an advantage over him in that they know each other well.
