Who Has Their Carry A Concealed Weapon Permit?

I was looking into getting a glock 22. Any suggestions for a handgun once I do get my permit?
Go to the range and shoot a bunch of different guns. Get whatever you feel comfortable holding and shooting. What one person likes, you may hate.

Also, get something you would feel comfortable carrying. I know a few people that don't carry because their gun is to big, heavy, etc. They just bought what they weanted and now want to buy something smaller to carry.

Because there is so much in Halls that you need a pistol for :)

Maybe my having a gun in Halls, undoubtedly amongst several thousand others, is the precluding factor in having to need them.

I like the Glock brand for its durability and ease of maintenance - other than that, you just need to decide on size / weight for what you like best.

True I read that the Glock 27 is reliable and much easier to conceal so I guess I'll just have to go around and test a few

Try carrying a cap and ball 44 around. Conceal hell I can't even keep it upright.

I carry a Glock 22 . 40 S&W, AR-15, and Remington 870 with Ghost Rings. Off-Duty, I used to carry a Walther P99 in .40 S&W. That is a nice weapon. Best weapon I ever carried, on-duty and off, was an H&K USP .40 S&W

I'm cleaning the H&K now.
Shoots great.
Bought it from a guy that shot himself in the thigh with it in B'ham.

For a carry, I like the Glock 29.

Be sure to get the over/ under double barrel ones.

That H&K is an awesome weapon system. Its a little heavy, but I like that. Helps manage the muzzle flip. I consistently shot 100% with that weapon. I love the double action /single action of the H&K compared to the DAO of the Glock.

You mean in NOT having to need them, right? Or am I totally confused by what you are saying?

G29(10mm) or Kahr P40. The former is a little "chunkier" and is for when cooler and my clothing conceals a little better. The latter is a narrower single-stack and can slip into a pocket. The .40 is pretty stout for a gun that size though (pretty snappy recooil) so if you're just starting out it might be a little easier to go with the P9.

The only thing is I have a buddy with an H&K that I shot a few months back. I absolutely hated the trigger.

He swears he did nothing to it, but it just didn't feel right.
