Who is SEC POY?

Impressed with Sellers but it's funny how people love him but knock Nico. Nico has better stats across the board as a passer.

QBR, Passer rating, TD:INT ratio, TDs, yards, completions.

The big difference is Sellers has nearly double the amount of rushing attempts.

The running is why I'm a huge fan of Sellers. He looks like a young Daunte Culpepper or Cam Newton running the ball at his size.

You forgot to add “$8 million man” in front of Nico. I think it’s a requirement.

Gotta be Sampson. Dart has only about 100 more yards than Nussmeier and Beck has more TD. But Beck also has those atrocious 3 int games. Sampson had a few fumbles but he never did anything to directly cause a loss for his team this season. He was actually the reason the offense scored any points for the majority of the conference season. You watch though, they will give it to Milroe since he had 20 rushing TD as a QB. Just get ready for that.

You know they would love to give it to Milroe........ One thing I didn't get was Sampson fumbling this year. He had never fumbled, But when 3-4 guys stand him up and punch at the ball, it can happen. I think that practice should be addressed.

Give one good reason why not? What player has contributed to their teams success in a more obvious way than Pavia. No singular player in the SEC has meant more to their teams W-L column than him. He is basically Tebow 2.0 just surrounded with way less talent. We need to find out what he's juicing up on and put it into effect.

What did Pavia contribute against Tennessee? Had Alabama known how to play a lick of defense Vanderbilt wouldn’t even be a bowl team. In no season should a player from a 6-6 team be considered for any award.

Sampson has meant just as much to UT, set records, and is leading his team to the playoffs while Diego Pavement is jumping for joy as a 6-6 QB going to the Music City Bowl. UT without Sampson is probably a 7-8 win team at best.

To me, its very simple. You look at what team would not have been nearly as successful without that player. The answer is Sampson.

What did he do for you to drag him down as a player and person?
He's no POY, but dude is tough and is a gamer.

As good as Sampson was this year, I think our record is probably still 10-2 without him. The defense carried the team this year. We lose 5 or maybe even 6 games this year with an average defense.

I'm not sure we've had a season in a long time where no individual player stands out. There probably isn't a more dynamic player in the SEC right this second than LaNorris Sellers, but the last 5 games don't make a season. Ryan Williams had kind of under-the-radar had less of a season than you might think. If it wasn't for the UGA performance, I honestly don't think all that many people would be talking about him. 37% of his receiving yards came in 2 games (Western Kentucky and UGA). He didn't do much of anything at all the last 5 games of the season.

I'd probably give it to Dart. He didn't have a year that leaps off the page, but he was the most efficient QB in the conference and didn't turn it over much. Sampson is right there too.

Now that I look at the stats, it is astonishing how much Jalen Milroe regressed this year. He really only played well in 3 games (Wisconsin, UGA, LSU) and was somewhere between OK and terrible in all the others. I thought he had a particularly bad game against us.
