Who is the Answer? (merged)

If you start a freshman in the SEC you are asking for your head to be handed to you on a platter.:eek:hmy:
If your only other option is Matt Sims, then your head's already been served on a silver platter.

I know it's hard to judge by Spring practice, and none of our starting WR's were healthy enough to play, but I am not feeling too good about either Worley or Peterman at this point.

Plus, what you forget to realize is that all the QB's are practically starting on out with this staff, on an even playing field. No one has had a season in Butch Jones offense. Worley and Peterman have a little bit of a head start, with Spring practice, but they are still behind the power curve, just like the freshmen.

If CBJ likes either Ferguson or Dobbs game better than he does the other two....he will probably bite the bullet and go with them. Personally, I think he will mix it up...playing multiple QB's against Austin Peay and WKU...to see which one separates.

Charlie High, as in Heisman. And, as a true freshman.

The shoe fits, so it doesn't have to be funny.
First of all a-hole, my only child died so there will be no grandchildren. Secondly, I take no "meds" so I am not off of them. Thirdly, you are an incredibly rude person who was raised to have no respect for his elders.

Just because your parents deserve no respect for their failure in raising you, doesn't necessarily mean that all older people deserve none.

I was just playing along , giving him a tiny percentage of the hype that Dobbs is getting. I didn't anticipate the hostility. I am on here to have fun, and not to be called a grand-pappy by a kid living in his mother's basement. I mean, that kid will be 63 some day, if somebody doesn't kill him first.

You're not talking to a kid, grand-pap. You made a wise crack and I returned the favor. Seems you're the one acting like a child who laid a brick in his diapers .

I didn't think an adult, with a decent job, would be up at 2:38 A.M. Some of us adults have businesses to run and have to go to bed. Sounds like a teenager, maybe up popping zits? P.S. How did you know that I have to wear a diaper after my colon cancer surgery?

I think you got enough to worry about....Prune juice or Metamucil? Centrum for Seniors or Geritol? :)
Well Junior, I was feeling a little better towards you today due to your Cincy/Jones thread, but since you've decided to go on the offensive again, I will change my strategy. Notice that I said "decent job," not shift work. I assumed you were out late at a Justin Bieber concert.

I will help you get on your feet with a few timely tips on how to become an adult.

1) Lose the thumping bass and the fart can muffler on your 89 Honda Prelude.

2) Pull your pants up. Nobody really wants to see your underwear.

3) Turn the bill of your cap to the front where it will do some good. It is there to keep the sun out of your eyes, not off your neck or the temple area.

4) Join the Army. It will teach you respect for both yourself and others.

5) Work towards getting your GED, then enroll in a trade school. Your mom will probably be glad to help.

6) You can thank me later , when you grow up.

seems like a good question but i got a better one.
What would have happened if Tyler and Tajh and Cam Newton all would have came to Tennessee. Who would have been the starter??[/ I think it would depend on who would have been the coach...

I think what you fail to realize is the importance of age and experience (and no, I'm not referring to your little sideshow with an older member of the forums). A lot goes on for an athlete in the two years between 18 and 20 physically and mentally. And while it's not much, Worley has at least seen the field in a few SEC games.

Yeah, I get that Dobbs is bright, and may even be more mature than the average 18 year old, maybe not. Smart and mature are not the same thing. I have high hopes for Dobbs, I'm a fan of smart, and I think he may be the answer......in 2014.

I guess you can't get an a$$ to stop making (stupid) a$$umptions, after all. Don't you have bigger things to fret over? Like whether to give up the prune juice and go with Metamucil or stick with Geritol over Centrum Silver? :)

I understand that Worley has some actual SEC game experience, but so did Matt Simms. Didn't keep him from getting beat out by a freshman.

Same thing applied to CJ Leak, back when Ainge and Schaefer were freshman. What concerns me most about Worley is that in none of the games where he got to play, did he really shine.

I don't think he's nearly as bad as Matt Sims, but neither he nor Peterman have a huge lead on the two freshman

Yes, a "good" quarterback would have done much better than the true freshman Worley did against MTSU. Worley was only 21-31 or 32 for 289 yards, if this old withered brain recalls correctly. Also, as a sophomore, 8-11 against Vandy with an int. caused by Patterson, and a bounce off Hunter's facemask in the endzone for a sure TD.

Let's see, we are up to about 29 of 40 ish. It's a shame that he doesn't meet your strict requirements. Bray, on the other hand, really shined against Vandy last year. I seem to remember about 11 of 29 for just a hair over 100 yards, and 2 interceptions. I will look these figures up later. These stats are off the top of an old gray head.
