Who is the Answer? (merged)

Dobbs is a 3 star who we stole from Arizona State. I mean I am glad he is a vol, and there is no doubt, he is smart but I do not get the strange belief that he will start as a Freshman. He may not ever start for our VOLS.

Tyler Bray was a 3* we stole from San Diego state. What's your point?

I have'nt heard allen iverson in the runing of the recrutes for the Tennessee's team of the QBs. If this is of the case Allen will be the dark horse of the champienchip team

This has to be a bama fan trying to make us look bad...

Also, dumbest nickname of all time.

You lie! :)

That title goes collectively to the nickname selected by:

Ron Killings - a professional wrestler
Paul Darden - pro poker player
Carl Williams - a professional boxer
Sam Bradford - a pro football player
Tim Hightower - a pro football player
Paul Pierce - a pro basketball player

and that's the truth. :)

3 star by rivals so not an epic fail you over reactionary guy
So, you get to pick one service out of 3 (that under-rates the guy) and use that as a basis to state, matter of factly, that he's really not that good. By that measure then all our QB's are just a bunch of low-rate 3*s. :loco:

His offer list included Boston College, Syracuse, Illinois, TCU, Maryland, too. You are so FOS. Bray had a great showing at the Elite 11 camp, and was committed to San Diego State when we offered him.

Good question. Now, it will be so nice when Vol fans no longer have to grasp at straws. Looking for a miracle freshman to lead us to battle in the SEC. In several years we won't be so desperate for a winning season or freshman saviour.

Ferguson offer list is 10x better then Dobb.

I think Ferguson had 6 or 7 offers from top 25 schools. Dobbs has 0.

The only reason you guys like Dobbs Is he's "black" and "smart". Be real and admit it.

Who knew you were the Commissioner of the Thought Police? I just stated clearly that he is roughly on the same level as all the other QB's, because none have any experience in CBJ's system. Worley and Peterman only have a few months worth of practice on Ferguson and Dobbs. For that reason only, I think they both get a closer look than they would otherwise.

I also said I felt for a long time that I expected Worley to start, this fall. Only after taking another look at Dobbs film, do I think he may be the X Factor. Why? Cause he is not only the most mobile among the group, he seems to have a knack at eluding the pass rush ala Russell Wilson style.

Plus, he is Butch's first explicit QB recruit. All the others were recruited by Dooley. That's not to say Ferguson wouldn't isn't valued by the staff. Since he's so used to winning, that makes him particularly intriguing.

Great OL with power running game and tough D is the real answer. All you need from QB is to not make mistakes.

What would have happened if Tyler and Tajh both would have came to Tennessee. Who would have been the starter??

seems like a good question but i got a better one.
What would have happened if Tyler and Tajh and Cam Newton all would have came to Tennessee. Who would have been the starter??

Newton Tyler would have transfered and then we would have a redshirted Tajh. and another Ring

I can't read and believe in an article by someone who has their facts so incorrect.

"Tyler Bray was a talented quarterback who never developed like he should have under then head coach Lane Kiffin and left for the NFL early."

Bray was never coached by Kiffin. He was recruited by him but Kiffin left for USC before he ever coached Bray. However, he was coached by Chaney who was Kiffin's OC.

I like the idea of Dobbs because of how smart he is. Maybe not this year, but I guess I'd be happy if he surprised us. With the additions of Russell Wilson, RG3, and that 49rs qb that will not be named, the NFL may be on the cusp of a mobile (not run first, but who can scramble) type of quarterback. I would love if UT could carve out a niche for top recruits who fit that description.

I hope the best player starts this year. If that's Dobbs, I hope that it doesn't mean the other guys suck...

If you start a freshman in the SEC you are asking for your head to be handed to you on a platter.:eek:hmy:

Brays problem was he had his head up his on azz, the right coach would have made him a second round draft pick.
