I love both Mannings, and am glad to see Eli win another. I still think Peyton's better overall, but the better playoff QB is Eli, no doubt.

I presumed he was there with his family (not sure Archie was ever on camera either)

I guess there could always be a chance that there's currently enough ill-feeling / bad blood between him and irsay at the moment / after this week that it was decided it would be better if he wasn't at his stadium or something

One last thought. Did anyone believe, at the start of the playoffs that the giants were going to win the super bowl either year?

Let's stop pretending they're loaded. Few had them making the playoffs when the season started

But seriously, I think Peyton is the best regular season quarterback to ever play the game. As of right now, Eli is the better post season qb. [Sorry if this has been posted, i'm not reading through 13 pages of forum to make sure I am typing an original thought:boredom:]

True he did loose to Memphis but compare the talent on Eli's team and the talent on the Tenn team that lost. Tenn should have been able to beat them with 3rd string.

yeah but it doesn't really mean what you are trying force it to mean. You also go on about "1st round picks" like it means something and then throw Saturday's name out there (he was an UDFA that they picked up)

also your " immediately upon his departure we win a national championship" line is insinuating that QB play is the reason that occurred. No one that watched the 98 season would truly make that claim

And Saturday was a pro bowler 5 times who earned his way onto the field.

Yes, being a first rounder means something. It means you were talented enough to be selected before 220+ other individuals.

And yeah I guess long passes to Pearless in the NC never happened.

Saturday was not an example of surrounding a player with the best talentas you were trying so hard to illustrate. Also just saying "he was a first rounder" means very little
