if we're being real here......running qb's are not our forte, and stopping the run, on the whole, has not been a strength either. the only games we really shut down the run...Cal, Memphis and Bama. We got better at it in the UGA game. our secondary is pretty darn good and LB's are gettin better. We've struggled to run the ball in some games, and our, arguably, best running back is out for the next 3 weeks at least. We'll need big a big game from Foster and Hardesty, and WR's have to catch the ball, as always.I dont think motivation has anything to do with it. My worries, our line and your QB.
One thing you should be concerned about is our 3rd down conversion rate...as impressive as you guys have been on 3rd downs of late (50% i believe since Newton has taken over) we are at least equally as good, if not better?
Which should tell you that this game should lie in which defense can make plays to get the other offense off the feild.
Offensive line will protect ainge, and if you have to bring help to get pressure...someone is one on one. pick your poison there...all of WR's can run and make plays.
If we don't turn the ball over..we win. USC will need help from us, just like last year mind you, to pull this off. USC won't just line up and beat us...The only team to do that thus far is Florida...and Florida you're not, despite who you have roaming the sidelines.
That's not over confidence, it's just fact. We play our game the way we know we can, we win. period. If we make mistakes and help you guys out, you have a chance. that's the bottom line.
