Who will be Florida's new football coach if Muschamp gets fired after this season?

Dan Mullens would have to be considered the front runner. I think Ruffin McNeil and Bronco Mendenhall would also be strong candidates. The worst and least likely scenario has Kelly being fired by the Eagles and going to the Gators.

I think no matter what UF will end up with a strong coach, which makes me sad.

He's actually 0-for-2.

If UF president Bernie Machen didn't come from Utah, Urban Meyer goes to Notre Dame.

Foley gets credit for Billy Donovan, for elevating our Olympic sports and owning the SEC all sports trophy.

But he's whiffed twice on hiring football coaches.

Foley set the program back for the rest of this decade by not firing Musclecramps last year....missed out on James Franklin.

hugh freeze only makes 2 mill a yr i bet we could steal him he's an offensive coach and also has a pretty damn good defense good coaching staff imo he would be very happy to take a nice pay raise and come over to the sec east and have the state of fla to recruit

I would takes Chiz over Anderson but that's just me. Don't know much about RM.

Jim Tressel would be an interesting hire. He lied to the 'AA so that may prevent him from another big 5 job.

Bobbby P would definitely get the Fla skill players attention but that affair and the way he left the Falcons won't fly with Bullgators.

Todd Graham is a defensive guy but a guy that has won at each stop. He does carry some PR baggage from Pitt days.

Gene Chizik is a name that will come up. UF alumn and won a MMC. Was fired at ISU and Aubbie so those are hard to overlook. With the right staff it could be a homerun hire.

First 3 calls imo are Bob Stoops, Jim Mora and Mullen. Make all tell me "no thanks" before I start with others.

Foley should have fired Chomp last yr he had more realistic options in Strong and Franklin.

Andersen is the better coach but worse recruiter. Plus he just lost to an LSU team that Miss State beat. He'd not pass initial test just on timing.

Anderson doesn't do it for me as a coach. But after 4yrs of Chomp I'm open to the idea. Lol

lets see where he finishes in the west with maybe the best talent he can ever hope to get to ole miss

that coming in 4th or 5th **** would get old to me when the east looks like something he could probably win and get to atl

Coming off of a defensive minded coach I would understand. Plus just because of the tone OBC and UM set for you guys I think your school's identity doesn't match a guy like Andersen. That said IMO he's a bad ass coach and will have Wisconsin doing things in a year or two.

I presume there would be no interest just on age and the like but Briles with some good recruiters around him could do some things offensively that the UF fanbase would like.

Briles is happy at Baylor and wont leave. Last year he turned Texas down flat.
