There is NO DOUBT that Quinn goes higher. I Smith will be around a #12 pick or maybe even worse.

Yes, I've seen Brennan play. Last I checked, he's in the WAC. Until he plays against the likes of Florida, Tennessee, Ohio State, LSU, Michigan, Arkansas, Auburn, Texas, etc.... I'm not impressed.

How does 30/44 for 350 yards and two TD's against Bama sound?

Timmy Chang may have set passing, completion, etc. records for D-IA, but he also set the record for career picks. When you watched Chang, his play was clearly the result of a system offense. If you put a mediocre QB in that situation, they put up big numbers, both good and bad. Brennan has been nothing but money.

And what does the conference have to do with it? Do you realize how many successful NFL qb's are NOT from the Pac-10, Big XII, Big Ten or SEC?

Obviously having never seen a Hawaii game... what kind of passing game do they use? Do they bomb it deep every play or is it more underneath stuff and let the WRs run with it?

44 attempts for a QB is kinda on the low side for Jones... They run a few different looks, but basically pass on all of them. Ace, shotgun, three or four wide usually. They don't stick to any type of particular route.

Who are you to say? He's decent size, good athlete, has a great arm, and has shown nothing but good decisions on the field, as evidenced by his astronomical passer rating this season.

Now nobody can predict the future, and sometimes the most promising prospects can fail miserably, but what has he shown you to say he will do that? Nothing to me.

All very good points. I shouldn't have said he won't amount to jack, but I really don't think he'll do much in the NFL. Who am I to say? Well, I guess I'm just a human being with an opinion.

Smith is short by NFL QB standards. He will not be able to see over the line and that will cost him in draft status.
