Who's Your Heisman Winner?

Let him have it and then the ole' Heisman "curse" kicks in. It happens more times than not (unless your last name is Tebow)............

No curse here. Ingram is a great back---and will prove it vs Texas. The curse involved over-rated players winning the award.

Ingram doesn't deserve it. he is not best rb on his team much less mvp...that was mcclain...trent better than him.
here is a tell...take out the player and how does the team do without him.
Texas in trouble.
Neb still good d with crap record
Florida...in trouble
Stanford..screwed
Alabama..put in Trent or upchurch and they just fine

Current Vegas odds on Bama's Ingram winning the Heistman Award are -265----meaning if you bet on Ingram, you risk $265 to win $100. Someone knows something, and Bama will have their first HT winner tonight. Makes me hate bammer even more---if that is even possible. Polls of the voters show that MI is ahead on most ballots. :banghead2::banghead2:

How is that bad news for the VOLS? :ermm: Doesn't effect us in the least.

If it truly went to the most dominant player, it would be a toss-up between Gerhart or Suh...but we know that won't happen.

None of this is true.

If Vegas gambling odds were a prediction for the future, we wouldn't need to play any of the games. This is one of the more open Heisman races in recent history.

There's a DT in it for God's sake.

I think Toby Gerhart wins it. He's the only candidate that is the sole person in his voting region. Everyone else is in a region with another player and votes will be split (McCoy/Suh and Ingram/Tebow).

Every single ballot that has been disclosed publically from the southeast region so far doesn't even have Mark Ingram in the top 3. (per ESPN earlier today)

1. Toby Gerhart
2. Colt McCoy
3. N. Suh

That's because all of those disclosed ballots (6%) were cast before the SEC championship. It's a very small percentage.

I'd love for Toby gerhart to somehow win it. Chances of that happening are 0%.

His chances are much higher than that, he will finish 2nd and it will be pretty close.

It's funny that Ingram will probably win it, considering he isn't the most talented back on his team.

Bad news for the Vols? Is a Vol hostess going to be in the crowd holding up a sign for Ingram and is seated right next to Thamel?

He had a great year but he wasn't deserving of the Heisman.

he became the 5th person all time to score a touchdown five different ways, he became the all time record holder for kickoff return tds., and he also became the co-record holder for most combined yards on offense EVER. i know it's not a "life time achievement" award, but seriously. three records in one year and his name isn't even on the ballot? wrong.

Oh really. So you are prepared to listen to Tide fans gloat over the fact that they now have a HTW---and UT doesn't. You, evidently don't come into contact with very many Al. fans. They have no concept of "gracious winner". 'Course if you have never lived in bama, or outside the SOT, maybe you don't get it.

Ingram won't even be the best RB in the room much less the best player.

Gerhart outrushed Ingram by 200 yrds and scored 11 more touchdowns. Plus, Ingram did nothing against Auburn. Gerhart never rushed for less than 86 yards in a game and his per rush was never below 4.4 yards. I believe he also went over 200 yards 3 times. 2 of his best games were against Oregon and USC when they were ranked 8 and 9. Then he destroyed ND single handedly by rushing for 3 touchdowns and passing for one.

Unfortunately, the Hypesman has become the best player on the best team. Not the best player in the country.

Good stuff----and the Auburn game (30yds) was supposed to hurt Ingram. Funny how the espn factor killed Peyton and it is now helping Ingram--(Big SEC deal with espn this year).

I'm not sure Ingram is even the best back on his team and he was running behind a solid OL. If a RB gets the award than it should be Gerhart.

I fail to see how this is "bad news" for the Vols. Who gives a sh*t if Ingram wins the Heisman? It isn't like we don't already have catching up to do to reach Bama status.

Alabama never winning a Heisman is more ridiculous than Tennessee never having a player win one. So if he wins it, big deal.
