Wow you are really clueless about being poor. You must have had money comming out of your behind since you left the womb.
I interpreted your response as pissy. I thought it was dodging the question. Message boards have that issue from time to time.
you with your American Dream stories. Don't remind people that they have some control over their personal financial situation.Yep, you know my life story.
My family never struggled when my uncle burned down my father's tire and alignment shop one Sunday when we were at church, and my father didn't have to declare bankruptcy.
He didn't have to work 80 hrs. a week at Midas to get promoted.
He didn't get downsized (from the job he was promoted to) and we didn't have to move.
He didn't build a company from nothing in completely different field than the automotive industry.
Yes, I was born with silver spoon in hand.
I have the view I do because I have seen my father have so much sh*t happen to him but he got his ass back up and made something of himself with no college education.
People can cry all they want but if he can do it, anyone can.
Thanks and good night now.
Actually yes
All I'm saying Papa is that rich people always seem to think their above everyone,I don't understand that.Every wealthy person I have ever encountered has always stirred their nose up in the air at me and doesn't give me the same respect that they expect from me.how does your being poor or really understanding on a personal level what poor is about actually help our economy or our country?
Being wealthy is not bad..just don't think your above everyone because of it...and show poor people respect as you would want them to respect you.As have I, only difference is i have not let the leftwingers brainwash me into believing being wealthy is a bad thing.
I do not perpetuate the class warfare garbage, I hapen to know and understand the wealthy pay much more of the tax burden than my bracket, not to mention offer the jobs I am qualified for. I do not think they should pay more so i can pay even less, I would much rather they continue to offer me the jobs my family needs to survive comfortably.
I am definitely arrogant, but it has nothing to do with your having been poor. It is related to the ridiculous assertion that someone who isn't or hasn't been poor has no ability to grasp the economic situation of our country. All I'm saying Papa is that rich people always seem to think their above everyone,I don't understand that.Every wealthy person I have ever encountered has always stirred their nose up in the air at me and doesn't give me the same respect that they expect from me.
And also some of your comments do come across as arrogant...I guess we'll never see eye to eye on this..but I am entitled to my opinion.
I just base what I say from my own experiences...no chip here..I'm 90% of the time in a good mood..I respect everyone.I am definitely arrogant, but it has nothing to do with your having been poor. It is related to the ridiculous assertion that someone who isn't or hasn't been poor has no ability to grasp the economic situation of our country.
I guarantee you that you are dead wrong about your broad generalization that all wealthy people thumb their noses at the poor or somehow disrespect people based upon their balance sheets.
Sounds like the problem might be the chip on your shoulder.
define pissy in this context.
you asked me to define "poor", my response was someone who couldn't afford to hire me. Was there anything in my response that isn't true? Is it possible for someone earning $35k/year to hire me at $52k/year?
