Why Ferguson is Really gone (Article)

Clausen was really good I thought, he did have a great team around him. Man, I'm puzzled by fulmers teams in the past. With some of the great teams he had, I always wonder why he didn't win more NCs........

Start with SEC's before NC's.

With NC's being so easy to win, (only everything has to go right) it's a wonder more coaches haven't won multiple championships. I'm equally puzzled by this too...
Bama fans still tryna figure out how they didn't win it last year.

Yeah, that article looks like it was written by a 6th grader. I seriously doubt Butch said that to any member of the press.

He's a football player turned radio host, not a journalist.

I don't understand the hate on Ainge. Like is there something he's done to the University that I'm unaware of? In any case, he bleeds orange now and says nothing but good things about UT football. Yet, he gets hated on for absolutely everything he does. It's like some people have a grudge against him.

To my point, Ainge is not the only player that receives this sort of treatment from VN. Why would anyone want to come here and have to deal with being teased and trashed after they graduate? Obviously, UT football players should have some thick skin, but jeez guys

Its because of that LSU game. ..

And honestly I think some people think less of him because of his struggle with addiction in the past which is unfortunate.

Numbers don't mean nothing if you don't win. Casey Clausen is the best QB since peyton.

Would you like to tell me who lined up behind Casey. Or was on defense when Casey was there?

Because im almost positive there were no other variables besides QB between 2001 and 2012

Glad we aren't getting a Bray 2.0

We would have won 9 games last year if we had Bray.

What vol fan in the world would not trade a few dents on some girls car for those extra wins..

Hell I "Volunteer" my car.. I will park it in front of his house every night so he has the target practice he needs, in exchange for those extra 4 wins + Bowl...

People around here act like he robbed someone at a pilot instead of just having one night of a stupid drunk mistaken "accident" and a bit of an EGO.

You need an Ego to play like he played, and who among us does not have at least that one story from college?

But he should be different because he is a football player? The double standard is pretty lame IMHO.

The answer to that question is yes. Football players should be held to a higher standard. When I played, my coach used to tell us before every game, "Remember who you are and who you represent." Meaning, don't go out and make an azz out of yourself by doing something stupid.

And don't forget the DUI in the community many of our families live in. Sure, I just really appreciate people whol aren't content to risk their own lives but have to jeapordize others as well.
Oh, and the fact that his radio shoe is sophomoric crap. A couple of guys playing high school grab jazz.

that DUI was BS which is why it was thrown out of court. But w/e you have obviously formed your opinion. And because they joke around and have fun they are playing grab jazz? what does that even mean?

Let me ask you something...are you a member of AARP?

LOL. HOW MANY TIMES DOES IT NEED REPEATED??? WE WOULD'VE WON NOTHING WITH BRAY BECAUSE HE WOULD NOT HAVE PLAYED. SEE CROUCH, MO.

Bray took cash from boosters. This means if he had come back and played last year. We wouldve ended up forfeiting the season ala Alabama 93-94 era.

Bray didn't give a crap about you, me, Smokey, or General Neyland. He cared about Bray.

Just because I stated that a poorly it is a poorly written article, you think that it means I hate Ainge and treat Vols like crap? I bet you're one of those people that thinks everyone deserves a first place trophy regardless of where they finished in a competition.

Even if Bray hadn't been ineligible for taking money, you're assuming he would either straighten up or Jones would play him anyway (like Dooley). I wouldn't make either of those assumptions. Also, football players are held to the same standard as other scholarship athletes, so there's a single standard.

It's 2014 not 1954. Your coaches statements have nothing to do with today's college football landscape. Talent is what wins football games, that is why you don't see a bunch of choir boys out on the field. I'd take talent over character any day of the week. You can build character in a player but you cannot anoint talent.

Bray was the best qb to wear orange since Peyton manning. If he would've had any help from the defense in 2012 we would've won 10 games and you would be singing his praises.

Bray was a no show against good teams just like the Defense was a no show period. Tell us what Bray did against all the good teams. Who did Bray beat that was good.

3614 yards 34tds 12 ints. I would say that's a pretty damn good year.
