Why Is Everyone Turning On Heupel?

IF people are “turning” on JH (I haven’t noticed a trend) it’s usually because they take all this stuff (wins, losses) so personal they actually feel like it’s an attack on them somehow. It’s a very interesting phenomena and when looked at closely reveals a major flaw with their static reality. It’s what makes people poison trees, get in fights with opposing fans, and generally develop genuine hatred for other people (fan bases). Their SELF WORTH is actually caught up in the success/failure of their team. Doubt it’ll change anytime soon. Many years ago I’m ashamed to say that described me (thank God, literally) but IS NO LONGER who I am. End of session. Please pay at the receptionist desk on the way out. See you next week same time.

I cannot believe the comments I’m reading in some of the threads. This season has been a success and not one logical person thought we’d beat Bama and be ranked in the Top 10 at this point in the season. Remember the god awful mess Heupel inherited with all the drama surrounded with the NCAA and numerous players transferring? I don’t know about you but I don’t miss having a boring offense who struggled to score against Vandy and Georgia St. Whoever is complaining about Heupel at this point should just stop watching sports all together.

This was NOT going to be an easy rebuild.

can you provide us examples? Sounds like you’ve seen a whole bunch…….I haven’t and maybe I just don’t know where to look.

Maybe show us 7 to 10 or so of folks bashing or hating on Heupel.

This actually got 28 likes because we’re in the age of “if you see it on Facebook….it’s true”

my goodness folks were all on this same site.

People are turning on Heupel?

Evidently there was this one guy………someone who’s probably turned on life itself…….so we needed an entire thread.

you know to make it look like it’s something WAY worse than it is.

To make someone else look like their a hero.

And if the rest of us don’t like it we’re just bad people.

Unfortunately that’s how some of us roll.

It took 6 minutes for your point to be made.
Even then, his point wasn’t made. Someone making a critique isn’t akin to turning on Heupel. Most likely, people that weren’t yet sold still are t sold. I’m sure there may be a couple who are outliers, but I haven’t seen people “turning on him”, but it’s a cool thing to invent to start a thread to signal true fandom.

Because, as one Douglas Adair Dickey remarked to yours truly, "The two most popular men on campus are the backup quarterback and the next head coach."

If Vol fans held themselves to the same standards they hold coaches, Tennessee would boast more millionaires and billionaires than the rest of the country combined.
So does that mean if one is a millionaire he can rightly find fault with our coaching staff for the giant pile of horse crap they gave us Saturday?

NOT ME

If CJH is so good, why isn’t Auburn after him? The buyout is only $8 million, cheap compared Kiffin and Freeze. And it’s not like CJH has deep ties to UTK beyond Danny White. You’d think he could be had if someone wanted to make a serious run at him.
