Why the dive in Obama's approval rating?

I don't think it's possible to deport 12-20 million people. I don't think that they should be given amnesty either. More guards at the border would help, but something's gotta be done.

But yes, it very well could be a financial disaster. I will agree with you on that point.

Take away the incentive for them to come to America. Deny them the right to work and live here unless they have permits or are legal. Enforce the laws already on the books and the problem would be much easier to manage.

the easiest way is to shut down manufacturers that use illegal immigrants. no jobs and they will go home (as many already have btw due to the housing downturn).

its only gonna get worse. As unstable as Mexico's government is, if all hell breaks loose in the city formerly known as tenochtilian, then expect a rise in boreder jumping

I wouldn't shut them down, just fine them heavily for the first couple of violations. That money could be used to enforce the laws. After a few strikes and hefty fines you would be shut down until you can prove all employees are legal. The problem would work itself out.

By the way in my neck of the woods not many have left. We work in a couple of different aspects of the construction trade. Of those that have left they are only doing so for a while until the work picks back up. They can live fairly well on a couple of months wages for up to year in Mexico.

if not mistaken, the central government is losing its ability to maintain its infrastructure and enforce its laws

Thats putting it lightly at best.

The Mexican authorities have been losing control for the past several years with situations escalating all along the border to a point where leading officials in the federal police have seeked asylum in neighboring Texas towns. Several have been found in their homes with up to 70+ gun shot wounds. Signs of intended messages to other officials. The terms, "Total instability" come to mind when discussing the current situation with Mexican officials and the ever prominant drug cartels.

He'd be better off leaving it to the Texas Rangers and the Texas National Guard. I wouldnt mind if Mr. Obama just kindly stay the hell out of my beloved Texas and mind his own yankee business up north. We have enough carpet baggers and empty suits proclaiming salvation down here.

Any sign of it spilling into our border states? What do the authorities propose doing to make northern Mexico more stable?

you dont have to deport a single illegal. take away their jobs, homes, health care, banking opportunities, food stamps and anything else given to them and they will leave willingly. they came here on their own, they can leave on their own. it must be state by state concept though. the feds will never do anything about the situation.

In otherwords, just make them "feel at home".:eek:lol:

Bush had the lowest approval ratings in history and for the longest duration.

just give it time. once people figure out that Obama/Pelosi/Reid's "stimulus" package isn't going to create a single private sector job that doesn't pay union dues, the approval ratings are going to sink.
