wikileaks and CIA

Do you all want an intelligence community that is run like Social Security or the VA? Cause that is competence level of bureaucrats.

I would just prefer to have an intelligence community that actually protected us from real foreign threats instead of stirring up trouble all over the place, overthrowing govts, arming rebels and starting mischief here at home.

I think the biggest news story here is the fake Wikileaks Russian op:

https://www.nytimes.com/2017/03/09/opinion/the-truth-about-the-wikileaks-cia-cache.html

Probably explains why this thread, like ObamaGate, has pattered out as well.

You fool anti-Americans were played by a Russian GRU operation.

May god have mercy on your souls.

Meanwhile, TrumPutin Gate keeps rolling along.

Fake?

U.S. intelligence and law enforcement officials said on Wednesday that they have been aware since the end of last year of a security breach at the CIA that led to anti-secrecy group WikiLeaks publishing agency documents on its hacking tools.

The officials, who asked not to be identified, told Reuters that they believed that the documents published by WikiLeaks on Tuesday were authentic.

Investigators were focusing on CIA contractors as the likely source of passing materials to WikiLeaks, the officials said. The group published what it said were nearly 8,000 of pages of internal CIA discussions about hacking techniques used between 2013 and 2016.

Oh, the breach is for sure.

Your little Wikileaks summary of it all, however, is fake.

Unfortunately, those decisions are made by politicians and bureaucrats. Contractors just do what they are told to do like any employee does.

Remember when crazy old Ron Paul was laughed off the debate stage for wanting to get rid of the CIA?

Time keeps validating him. The sad part is nobody in the GOP will even remember that they laughed at him. They'll act like they've always been wary of the CIA.

Ron Paul was way ahead of the curve on many things. CIA needs to go.

Idk why anyone would continue supporting the terrorist organization known as the CIA

Agreed. Add the EPA, IRS, the Federal Reserve, NSA to the things that need to go.

I also think Ron Paul is correct about the next major financial crisis.

He was too kooky to be president. Yet, most of those same people voted from Trump...

Make sense of that.

Never happen. They're sacred cow "job" programs. But if I had my choice, I'd kill the IRS, Fed and EPA. Neuter the CIA/NSA.

So after the CIA and NSA are gone, who does intelligence gathering and other spy vs spy activities for the US? Or do you think we don't need these functions?

In the absence of the CIA and NSA, what makes you think the other "15" agencies would be any better?

Define "state sponsor of terror".

Who do you think funded ISIS,the Taliban, Al Qieda among others?

All the NSA does is intrude on our rights.

They wouldn't be better. It would still be a government job. There would at least be cost savings.

Check out the book "Legacy of Ashes". It's about the founding of the cia and the operations they've run up to Bush the second.

The kind of people that support the CIA are people with jobs, mortgages, and families.

You know, crazed totalitarians who promote the Deep State and hold secret meetings where they ritualistically sneer at paintings of the Founding Fathers.
