wikileaks and CIA

Millennials. LOL

They certainly have different understandings of "transparency"; you know, like the actual definition of the word.

Do you have a problem with wikileaks obtaining and then publishing documents revealing the process by which we legally surveil foreign governments or adversaries?

You gloss over the fact that it was also revealed that the same practices are used on normal Americans.

Velo: the last true American.

These are sad days. We've become a society of sniveling narcissists, all convinced that someone is constantly watching him or her, personally.

We've become a society of cowards, all ripe for the taking. And that's exactly what Putin intends to do: defeat us through our deleterious super-individualism and our own self-destructiveness.

I have a question for you. Why would Putin, an antiglobaliat, be an enemy to our nation state? He would be an ally as it is the objective of groups like the UN to chip away at our Sovereignty. Putin isn't causing the collapse of Western civilization. That would go to the UN and the EU.
Putin knows Donald Trump is one of the last chances we have as humanity to rid the earth of globalist liberal policies.

Once again, how is Russia a geopolitical threat? I would say that the EU is more of a threat than Russia.

Just wondering, about what year after the passage of the PATRIOT act did you guys stop calling libertarians paranoid loons and start assuming this stuff was actually happening?

I was 10 when the patriot act was passed. I started following politics at about 13-14, so I would say 2005.

Remove the partisan blinders and accept this for what it is, an attack on our sovereignty and an attempt to sow discord and undermine the U.S. and our allies. Wikileaks has become a dump for russian propaganda and espionage .

The UN and the EU have done more to undermind our Sovereignty than Russia could possibly do. They undermind our republic, as we are and never will be a democracy.

Who has done more russia, un, or eu? My vote goes to russia. This is an attempt to weaken alliances for the purpose of increasing russia's global influence. United the world stands, divided the free world falls. Pretty simple.

It could just be gas, but my gut tells me you've hit upon something.

If we're a society of cowards, it's because we tolerate this kind of behavior from our govt. Our founding fathers wouldn't have tolerated it and I don't think generations prior to the Spanish-American war would have either.

Government expectations are easy when you're a republic of 3 million.

We're a sniveling lot of narcissistic cowards today because each of us think we're significant enough that someone sitting in Langley or Alexandria is constantly monitoring our every word and action.

Our intelligence services need to be kept in check, yes, but you throw them under the bus today, and you may not have a country tomorrow.

so ignore their wrong doing just because it MIGHT hurt us? we have to own up or it never gets better. Under your thoughts the CIA/IC becomes the child that never heard "no" growing up. except that they have all the power they want because we never told them no.

when someone in the military fricks up we, should, punish them. same thing here. otherwise we are no better than Russia.

its not throwing them under the bus to demand they make changes. and its not just the spying on us, if any of these hacks turn out to be CIA operations they have actively mislead us for who knows what reasons. aren't you constantly calling for the Tweeter in Chief to be removed for lying and taking part in lying. yet you want to forgive the CIA?

russia has no moral authority, the U. S. has little bit left and we must work to increase it. russia is a bad actor and in no way should be compared to the greatest nation on earth.

What part of my post did not get the message through that our intelligence services "should be kept in check"?

I'm not going to freak out like a five-year-old, however, every time a leak by some ahole contributes to our collective narcissism.

Can we get this post pinned? Everyone needs to see this - I cannot fathom a more misinformed post.
