Will Muschamp to UF

Vols fans are hoping he sucks. Florida fans are hoping he's great. Personally, being as subjective as possible, I think he'll fall somewhere in the middle. Solid, but nothing to write home about. I expect a few 9-4, and 8-5 type seasons.

The uncertainty of it all is awesome. Welcome to our world.

I'd rather him have six 9-3 seasons than 3 7-5 seasons before you fire him.

Applewhite was the RB's coach at UTex? If I'm not mistaken their RB's didnt do really well in recent history.

That's basically what Zook did

I don't think it really indicates his inherent coaching skills. Do not forget that he was Saban's OC at Alabama in 07. Obviously Saban has some faith in his coaching ability.

True. Even so I think it's safe to say that UF's offense is going to look considerably different in the coming years.

Something not adding up here: in '04 Foley goes and gets a proven HC who had continually won and a come off a 12-0 season and BCS bowl win. That guy wins 2 national championships. He could get about any coach in college and maybe some of the NFL...and his first and only choice is a DC with no HC experience coming off a 5-7 season??

I can't imagine how much Florida fans have enjoyed watching us all fight with eachother. Gatorcountry is making VN look somewhat sane.

I'm not one who is dogging this hire, but other names would definitely have scared me more. Who would have scared you the most? For me it would have been Petrino.

Do not forget that he in no uncertain terms had the Tennessee job. His name is a hot commodity regardless of his coaching skills.
