It was my understanding that coaches and university admin were not allowed to be part of the whole NIL/Collectives. Either in their formation or operation. It appears that you're saying Staley helped set up the collective that pays her players. Maybe I'm misunderstanding you or I could also be horribly uninformed. And Earl, the SC collective that
pays Lady GC players is separate as well, it was set up by CDS tireless work and desire to set something up for her players away from the FB dollars, she was on it early and dedicated the time necessary to make it happen. Every school and coach had same opportunity.
Earl, would you then find that an institution with the history and legacy of LV BB deficient in providing booster/collective funds to the WBB players in at least a moderately competitive fashion to even low $ teams such as SC?
That needs context. There are only 4 or 5 programs that fill their arenas, and those arenas are far smaller. Yes, a few times back in the day, PHS filled the Tommy. But 95% of programs would kill for 8K just once. The real empty seats at most WBB games are alarming and embarrassing. I'm very surprised the LVs have held on to this many, and I expect a significant drop off, esp when RJ is gone.Attendance: 8,723

OH......................I get it now. We should accept the #1 Program in Womens Basketball has declined to what everyone else is......OK I get it ?????? You want fans in the seats.............put something on the floor! That needs context. There are only 4 or 5 programs that fill their arenas, and those arenas are far smaller. Where ya been? The LVs haven't been the #1 program in WBB for about 15 years now. And again with the "accept" crap. It happened whether we "accept" it on a fan board or not. We're just trying to scratch and claw to stay in the top 25 right now. And no, that's not what any of us want or expect but continuing to wallow in the glories of the past when the program was #1 is not helpful, and in fact has been a major hinderance in many ways.OH......................I get it now. Hollys last game against SC at home had 9400. A year a coach gets let go.That needs context. There are only 4 or 5 programs that fill their arenas, and those arenas are far smaller. Same attendance ballpark as yesterday. Weekend games routinely still draw 8 to 9K. I'm very surprised it's still that high.Hollys last game against SC at home had 9400. A year a coach gets let go.

I couldn't find consistent records before 1997, but 1997-2012, attendance ranged from 10500 in 1997 (even that was 1st in the nation) to 16565 in 1999. The average for those years was 14210.That needs context. There are only 4 or 5 programs that fill their arenas, and those arenas are far smaller. That was my point. Attendance has declined steadily since the heyday. Declined badly under HW, whose first and best year was already a 3K decline from PHS avg. KJH has pretty much held steady with what she inheirited. That's a crappy standard, but my point was I'm surprised KJH's has declined more given the results. I'm afraid it's about to, espec looking ahead to next year.I couldn't find consistent records before 1997, but 1997-2012, attendance ranged from 10500 in 1997 (even that was 1st in the nation) to 16565 in 1999. Warlick's years: averaged 9887...her 1st year was best, 11390, and last was worst, 8028.
Harper: 8061 without COVID.
We had a nice schedule of games to help put non-season ticket holders in seats, now comes the truth. That was my point. Attendance has declined steadily since the heyday. Ohmygosh! He/she speaks unvarnished truth. That sort of direct, honest behavior is apt to earn you a negavol label.Where ya been? The LVs haven't been the #1 program in WBB for about 15 years now. I do agree results on the floor will put butts in the seats. But right now we're a long way from that.
Oh wow. That is really bad. And Oklahoma is #50, so at the moment that's just barely a Q1 win.Updated net rankings.

I’m not sure OU is really that good. They got their clocks cleaned by Princeton at the same tournament where we beat them.Oh wow. That is really bad. And Oklahoma is #50, so at the moment that's just barely a Q1 win.
MTSU really is a must-win this week as they are #70, so on a neutral court a loss would be a Q2 loss. At least with all of the challenges we had last year, we were 9-0 in Q2 games.
