STOP SCHEDULING OVER OUR HEADS. It’s a new age and Kim Mulkey figured that out. When u rely on portal girls to learn a new system new habits new teammates… you HAVE to give them time to integrate.
I hate it but we need to start playing the Louisiana School of the Blind too. And maybe schedule 2 ranked games. The consistency just isn’t there.

WE ARE NUMBER ONE IN EVERY OPPONENT METRIC. Our BPI is strong which is good but our low NET tells us that this team just isn’t clicking.

MTSU really is a must-win this week as they are #70, so on a neutral court a loss would be a Q2 loss. At least with all of the challenges we had last year, we were 9-0 in Q2 games.

We over scheduled again and are getting punished. This is literally last year 2.0

Yeah, Richmond, Stony Brook, Rhode Island, and Purdue Ft. Wayne are real powerhouses.

No disrespect to their programs. Just sayin' let's see how it shakes out over time.

Kentucky is something like #266. I seriously doubt that assessment.

LSU went into the SEC tournament with only one loss on the whole season to SC and they dropped all the way to a 3 seed in the NCAAT just by losing to UT, because of that soft schedule.

It’s almost always better to schedule up in basketball - as long as you win at least one of the big games you scheduled. The problem is we are losing almost all of the games.

We're not really over-scheduling, we're just losing those games, and that's due to poor coaching. Our schedule is comparable to other teams that began the season similarly ranked.

Last season, we definitely over scheduled. This season, we are losing games we could have won. At this point we could do like Mulkey and schedule every no-name Tennessee state college out there and would manage to lose a disproportionate amount of those games.

We should have won FL ST and ND I don’t disagree. Up in any game in the last 2 mins is on the coach if u lose…

But even then we probably would have still been wrecked by OSU and Indiana based on some random total breakdown of our team.

the FL St OU and ND game prove our potential right now..

If a top player came here, the NiL deals will follow, they just need to do whatever it takes to get a player, I just don’t see the urgency in the recruiting visits. They need to go all out when recruiting and trying to get portal players.

If another coach had the same roster, it would be the same result. Now if another coach put together a better roster, the results would be different.

Just a great quote and nobody is confusing CKH with Bryant. But some coaches can maximize lesser talent and win.

I'm not saying we have a team full of generational talents, but a good coach can get alot out of the players we already have. X's and O's, roster management, time outs, etc. really do matter.

I read your original post as saying that the loss happened to a team ranked #16 rather than losing to a team ranked #16. Just a little confusion over the placement of that last propositional phrase. I see now what you were saying.

And, not excusing the loss, yesterday we saw an example of a Top 3 team losing by that much to an  unranked team. It shouldn't happen, but it does.

I agree that the way we're playing right now, we don't deserve to be ranked. In fact, we shouldn't be near the rankings right now.

We lost to Indiana and Notre Dame , Ohio State …. I believe they ALL outranked us ? Which usually means you should lose to them ? And I believe Florida State are ranked #15 now ? Just saying

Everyone was excited that Key and Jackson were coming back to play this year ! But that has not happened…… what if they do start playing? I am looking forward to those games !!! Let’s see how the year plays out !
