Yes, that is just crazy talk.

Charges should only be filed if it can be shown, with evidence, that he acted with criminal intent or with criminal negligence or with criminal recklessness.

Do you have proof of any of those things or do you just have an opinion?

If such evidence can be produced, I will be one of the first calling for this man's arrest and conviction. Until then, he has the presumption of innocence.

Unarmed attacker; armed victim.

What more could you need to see that "self defense" doesn't make a whole mess of sense? It hardly matters though. Our judicial system sucks and it will probably blow over in a month or so.

It's a thing called 'reasonable doubt'.

Do you find it improbable beyond reason that a teenager, who as a group are not known as good decision makers, could, in a moment of heat, lash out at someone who he felt was giving him a hard time, in spite of the fact that the person was armed?

I have seen way too many stupid decisions from people to think it couldn't have happened. Is that what I think happened? Doesn't matter. What I think is the most probable explanation is not the point. The point is, what can be proven, beyond a reasonable doubt.

Update:

New High Def Police Video Of Zimmerman Appears Damning Of ABC Report

A new High Definition clip from the same video appears to make clear that Zimmerman had a gash, or wound of some kind on the back of his head. That would be totally consistent with his version of events on the night in question and opposite the impression ABC News gave its viewers.

On the facts, an honest conversation about race would quickly dispense with the canard that blacks are habitually persecuted by whites. They are not.

Why would a stocky, 250 pound man aspiring to be a police officer need to FATALLY shoot an unarmed attacker? Do you really think Martin intended to kill Zimm with his fists? Really?

I don't have to think that for it to be valid self-defense. If Z thought he was in danger, then self-defense becomes valid. It is up to the police to prove he did not act in self-defense.

I think the guy is a pos. I think he is a coward. I think he probably has psychological problems. But none of that is relevant to whether he committed a crime.

I am 6'3" and 310lbs. I would never want to tangle with my cousin who is 5'10" and 190. He's a mean sob and I am a gentle guy.

BTW, I did not just call myself a wus. I am just saying size doesn't make the man.

Cardio is the deal breaker, the nastiest fights I have been involved with were women at or around a 100 lbs.

I mean, the guy was training to be a police officer. Pictures of him don't hint that he's fat. Maybe stocky, but not obese. It's hard to believe he wasn't in some sort of shape.

Trayvon didn't look like a toned muy thai boxer in the more recent photos. Hell, he's built a lot like I am.
