Elections have consequences, right? You are the one acting butt hurt my friend. But keep it up with your clever little metaphors.
That comment is what launched the current uber antagonistic era of politics IMO.

No it doesn't.

I edited my statement.

You can't separate religion from politics, peoples religious beliefs will always influence their politics. Where religion has no place is in the making of law.

Uh we couldnt discuss the issues under Obama either. If anyone took the slightest objection to one of his policy yall labeled it "racism" and moved on.

The only time I can remember any sort of unity was after 9/11. But then it was right back to anyone working with the otherside was the enemy.

Again, this is not a Trump specific issue, no matter how much you try to frame it.

Trump was different because he was able to motivate and inspire his base with contemptible statements. You guys reveled in his name calling. You giggled when he pretended not to know an avowed racists who publicly supported him. When he called women fat pigs, you loved it. That is the Trump issue.

I dont know who this collective we is that you think you are addressing here counsellor.

You giggled and lapped up all of Obama's ridicule of the right. Never once stood up to the race baiters use of divisive strategy. Never minded the sly and degrogetaory zingers Obama threw out. Obama constantly acted superior and condescending. You never minded that he ruled with a pen or a phone, didnt mind that elections had consquences when it went your way. Didnt care that he signed into law a secret bill the public wasnt allowed to see.

I didn't like any of it.

I don't like it when it occurs from any part of the political spectrum, which it does.

I guess some of us prefer the proper English way of calling some one an SOB, so we get the message but it doesn't assault our sense of propriety.

If we would learn what the human race really is at bottom, we need only observe it in election times.

People tend to forget that politicians aren't there to serve themselves or their party. They're there to serve their constituents. Most of them fail at that.

When representing people of different faiths and backgrounds, you have to be willing to put your faith aside when you go to work.

That's why I said religion has no place in the making of laws. But in politics you can't separate the two.

A religious person should conduct themselves based on their beliefs. Once elected they should place the constitution above their religious beliefs.
You can conduct yourself by your beliefs and still separate your beliefs from your job. I think we're basically saying the same thing but you're playing semantics just to be argumentative.

He is, after all, God's choice. That is what they told me last time. They supported Trump because he was God's choice. He was not a perfect man, but he was God's choice to lead America...

God is in the eye of the beholder.
