Woman Has 15 Abortions In 17 Years

What right for a woman to have an abortion as a rape victim? Where can I find this "right"

Again, if we can only live by expressly granted rights, it's going to get boring around here. I'll have to dump all of my beer.

As you can see, I've only been a member for a few months. I'm just curious... does it always get this rambunctious during bye weeks?

You have beaten that to death. That arguement is old. You are comparing apples and oranges.

How? You keep trotting out this absurdity about where the right to abortion is written. Our law doesn't work that way. We have to expressly take things away, otherwise they are implied rights.

one of your reasons for a women not being able to have an abortion is that she chose to have sex. a rape victim did not make that choice.

That is true. And this is much more complicated. But I am consistent, I just believe that you don't have an abortion for any reason. God gave that person a baby for a reason. I am all in favor of adoption.

As I keep going back to, the Declaration of Independence says the right to life, liberty and the pirsuit of happiness. The right to life says you have the right to live. And if drinking beer makes you happy then you have that right.

I never said that, but good try. I said he gave her that child for a reason. And again I am all for putting a child up for adoption. My wife and I are unable to have children so I am all for adoption.

Lots of issues here:

1. Declaration of Independence isn't law. Never has been and is never going to be.

2. Right to pursuit of happiness is only about what I can do to the extent it doesn't impact others. When I infringe upon them, my rights end, even I beer drinking.

3. No founding document of ours proffers rights upon unborn fetuses, period.

You drinking beer and not hurting anyone else does not impact others and if it did then you are right your rights end there.

And it states you have the right to life. Period. You have the right to be born and to live.

Perhaps the point you are missing is that the Declaration of Indepence has a closer correlation to simply being a written letter rather than written law. It is not part of the Constitution or Bill of Rights. It didn't establish... it stated.

Just wait until the off season when there are no sports to talk about.

Its our founding document. Our founding fathers stated there that we have the right to life. I am not sure what you all don't get about that.

So are condoms and birth control pills also wrong? They are interfering with the "right to life" as well...
