My 365 day countdown clock starts Jan 1 2022. And I’ve been pretty open about it so as to avoid surprises and let them plan. Absolutely everyone is replaceable and I make sure my protégés know that. But there’s no reason to make that replacement transition painful. I’ve had a pretty damn good run and been treated well… this far.

But if some corporate dumbass comes in with a “there’s a new sheriff in town mentality” and starts laying down the law on what I will or will not do I can see me throwing my badge in somebody’s face and walking out. I’m pretty much over corporate America at this point. I’ll be taking most of the month of December off due to must take accumulated leave and I’m probably going to spend a day loading up my belongings in my office and bringing them home.

For direct federal employees I’d guess they do. I’m at a private company that does business with the fed government. Other than I have a federal administered security clearance I’m just as much private employee as you are dude.

This is going to bite these idiots on the ass and I’m gonna laugh when it does.

I’d guess active duty will largely fall in line except for the usual percentage looking for a reason to retire. I think these continued stupid ass authoritarian decrees are going to completely decimate the ranks of the reserves. I’m hearing rumblings thru the work connections along those lines now.

Has it occurred to these policy makers that more than40% have chosen not to get vacinnated and that’s a significant group of consumers, employees and voters. Many of them in critical positions

So I’m seeing from NGB statements that all drilling status NG are subject to the same vaccine mandates that the Army is subject to, but NG members on AGR status are not. The AGR folks are covered under whatever their individual state determines.
Looks like blue state Guard members are at the front of the line for everyone that’s going to get the short shaft coming and going. BOHICA!
It may be interesting to see if red states offer any pushback over their weekend warriors once those 20 year papers start hitting desks.

And for you guys saying active duty and reservists will quit over the vaccine? Can someone explain to me why this vaccine would cause them to quit when they've all have had multiple vaccines, including such exotics as yellow fever?

And don't tell me it's because this vaccine is unsafe. It has been approved in the most documented approval process in US history. One expert said this is the most analyzed vaccine in history.

You do know that all the currently available Covid shots are just EUA and that the recently pushed through “approved” one is not available as it hasn’t been brought to market yet?

I don't know whether they will quit or not, but I hope they do... in droves. And the Yellow Fever vaccine has been around for decades. I am not a big fan of it, but it has been around for a long time.
